I especially liked the Women’s Center on second floor but you are closing it and turning the room into a place for trainers.
I do not like the Metropolis Parking now we must scan the barcode and when you don’t apply discount or never see apply discount after scanning, you get charged 5.99. The $5 for parking and a $.99 Service Charge! And there is no disputing it because I tried and it turned out to be an endless do loop of you didn’t do this or that.
Love the parking and Equipment, not too packed which I love and there’s a ton to do!
The classes are great
I like to keep up with my resistance training, and I appreciate that the resistance equipment at the Tellepsen Y is well-maintained. If one of the machines is out of order, it's usually back online in just a few days.
I like the variety of programs but I wish there were 6 or 6:30am in person classes instead of 5:30 and 7:30am

The gym equipment is in working condition all the time and when something goes wrong it is corrected in a timely manner.
More than just a gym, you give back to the community, especially the swim lessons

Coach Cameron knows how to work with children really good. My daughter is 3 and needed to structure and accountability that came with learning how to swim.
The lifeguards are awesome. They're attentive and alert, always checking on everyone's safety. The pool is clean, and the atmosphere is very pleasant with cheerful music. The children's swim instructors are wonderful.
I like the classes.

They’re good and fun
YMCA offers healthy options for people to take care of their bodies and does in a friendly and social atmosphere. Programs are available to all ages and needs. No complaints!
Amazing employee.
I have returned following a long medical hiatus and visited five times in the last two weeks. I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff. They do a great job when asked for help. Unfortunately, while I am working out, or on one of the exercise machines, I observe the employees in the gym congregating and chatting (for 30 minutes at a time). Twice, there has been either no spray bottle or the paper towels were out. It is no big deal in the grand scheme of things, but these young folks are either hanging out with one another, or staring at their phones. As an educator, I know this is a challenge and I realize that you probably are aware of this. I just wanted you to know that it is very noticeable and does not reflect well on the organization.
I have one other problem that is personal to me and maybe a few others. I am asthmatic and once I get a concentrated blast of cologne or body spray from another patron in the workout room, my aerobic exercise is over for the day.
All said, I love this facility, the folks who work there, and the people who patronize the place. It is a nice community.

Great variety of exercise classes throughout the day for different age and fitness levels. Great workout area with machines for anyone to meet personal fitness goals. The indoor track is an ideal refuge from the Houston climate for exercisers needing to walk or run. Excellent trainers.
I like coming to the body pump and pilates classes. Tellepsen has a wider selection of fitness machines and weights.
Towel service would be great for showers.
There are a wide variety of exercise classes and activities. The class instructors are great.
