I am the self appointed safety and maintenance observer at the Weekley YMCA and the the Trotter UMCA. I let management know when equipment is broken and when I see unsafe situations.
Friendly. Attentive staff. Pool is managed wonderfully. Good management of childcare as well. Facilities are nice.

I like the "Forever Well" exercise classes. Should have kept it AOA. Change for the sake of change is a waste. Facility is much better now that all those maskless children are gone. I will suspend my membership next summer if we are still experiencing COVID.
The outdoor swimming pool is a great asset with great lifeguards
Great Variety for all ages, especially older people.
Wearing masks on exercise machines seems to be optional. It IS harder to breathe. But treadmills feel too close together for proper Social Distancing. There Were signs taking alternate treadmills out of service. That felt safer.
Very knowledgeable helpful staff. I love the exercise classes as I see they are designed to get results and I have been attending the YMCA for over five years. I recently last year began to exercise again when y opened up from the pandemic. I began taking the classes again and lost the weight i wanted to loose. I feel that the YMCA on Stella link here in Houston Texas is clean and safe to attend
Easy parking, easy entrance and checking in, easy access to classes, friendly staff and instructors.

I love the early morning yoga classes. Wish there was one at 7 am on Friday. Love Halimah a a yoga teacher.
Variety, there are multiple activities to choose from. Children of all ages can participate in and learn many different activities.
I like that there is a daily pickle ball activity time (M-F at least). If the gym is not being used from 10-11, it would be nice if the time could be changed to 10-12 though.
I wonder if there could be a volleyball time for older adults (50+) in the early afternoon, or morning. (It would NOT be safe for the older adults to play with the younger adults, thus a morning time or early afternoon would be best for older/senior volleyball time.)

Although I myself mainly use the pool, I am thrilled to see the huge amount and variety of activities available to people of all ages. I've described the Y to others as a "hotbed of activity" that has something for everybody.
I want to especially express my appreciation for your opening the pool for lap swimming and then water exercise last year in the height of the pandemic. It certainly gave those of us suffering from the isolation and frustration of the shutdowns an opportunity to get out and have a bit of life-saving exercise and socialization. We all described it as the "highlight of our day."
