The classes I have found I loved are what gets me going in the morning. I don't enjoy the pounding music/high cardio ones, so the lower-key ones are great. I wish there were more early in the morning. I also love the e-gym -- great to get the basics worked out easily and quickly. The easier it is to do, the more often I find I will do them.
Good machines and classes
Good variety, great teachers.
I attend spin class most Mondays, and that's great. I have been using the eGym step with my daughter under our family membership, which is also helpful. I hope to get back to some free weight training. and in the past have enjoyed the outdoor small-group Boot Camp. I would love to see that return in more substantial fashion with an 8:30 offering for not-early risers.
Diverse and fabulous exercise classes. Great kid programs for after school and summertime. Beautiful pool to swim and for play. Professional, kind and easy to talk to staff.
I love, love, love that I can take a chair exercise class 5 days a week. I’m 79 and focused on staying mobile and healthy. Having so many lap lanes in the pool is also critical to keeping my joints moving. Floor yoga classes were too difficult for my arthritis. Twice weekly bridge games are great for socialization. I expect to have hip/knee surgery in the future, and these classes and weight gym will be crucial to recovery. I cant afford private gyms, and this Y has been a lifesaver to a new Houstonian.
Everything!!!
Pool
Large options with gym equipment .
Not crowded.
Good variety of programs.
Would like an 8:30 am Bootcamp option even if virtual
Facilities are complete, modern and clean. Most staff are professionals. Enjoy classes: especially yoga.
Classes are included in membership! Variety of class types. All excellent instructors. As clean and as nice as any private club. I wish tennis (off site) would return.
Love it it I know it’s not up to speed yet after Covid. Too many machines upstairs are not working at any given time. Usually the screen/TV. Let’s stop the class sign up since no instructors nor members ever respected the process meant to limit class sizes. I wish they would! Covid or not. Love the Y though! Gem of the neighborhood.
Everything! The Y is awesome
I like the convenience of having it near my home; however, the exercise classroom is very small and gets too crowded during the classes. Also the floor in the classroom is old wood and not very comfortable. There are no Body Attack classes because the room is too small.
Also, the men's locker room is disgusting. There is carpeting which is always wet, smells horrible and is a major health problem. Please replace it with a washable floor!!!
Excercise is good for the boys day and the socializing before the class is gone is for the psyche!
Lap pool
My home gym is Tellepsen, but I came to Weekley for your barre class with Brittany, which I totally loved.
