I am at a regular at the Downtown Louisville Y and visited Floyd Co during the holidays. The Floyd Co Y is very nice (newer) and offers many classes, which I like. Everyone was friendly and the class instructors did a good job!

The facility is well maintained and with some of the recent changes - things are in really nice shape. The staff does a nice job to communicate.
The variety of the equipment is great and the new lockers in the ladies locker room are very nice. The facility is also very clean. I appreciate that very much.
I think that it would be a good idea to post some « be kind » posters in the facility. A member recently related to me a disturbing interaction which had negative racial tones. The member did not report this to any staff in the facîity, but she told me that she went home and cried. There is apparently at least one member who is quite insensitive and unkind.

the hours are good; the men's locker room upgrade is nice but I wonder how secure they are with the plastic vent holes leading right to where one would put their valuables; I wish there were more Precor elliptical machines since these are so popular and often occupied;

I love that I can swim every day!
But the downstairs locker room has much to be desired! Because it is so popular we often do not have a place to sit down or change!

I mainly use the pools. They're great! I swim laps and then soak in the therapy pool. The staff are friendly, but Kameron stands out, most definitely! I think the locker upgrade is wonderful. I also love the steam room and sauna. The front desk staff are all very nice and a shout out to Tyler - always a busy guy, but always friendly. Not sure if Julia (or Julie) still works there, but I do remember she helped me a lot when my calf muscle tore jumping rope back in 2012 (or 2013). I belatedly thank her for her kindness!
The YMCA is a jewel in the heart of New Albany. A wonderful gathering place and a place to get your body strong. I have met so many decent folks there. Keep up the amazing work!

Basketball courts
I really enjoy the classes. The instructors are great and the front desk staff is always kind. I also enjoy the sauna every time I work out. The stream room is therapeutic when my sinuses are flared up. The new lockers are a wonderful improvement.
It's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
