It's convenient,close to my home
Having a 10 month old and a 3 year old means the only time I can workout is during my lunch break and I am grateful to have an onsite facility to do so at.
Just that it’s there and you are free to do what you want with what’s available.

The pool. The people at the downtown Y are great.
Location, hours, facilities, equipment and personnel are all fantastic. Facility is clean and organized, exceptionally on shower stalls and towels. Equipment is superior across a spectrum of exercise needs, though space is tight. Personnel are well versed in equipment operations. They actively engage people to identify needs or help, maximize exercise experience. Cost is excellent value. Hours are broad to cover multiple shifts, much appreciated. I use this Y for both early morning and late evening workouts. My conversations with 2nd and 3rd shift is always positive and they seem very happy over the hours.
They are always nice at the downtown 2nd street YMCA. Welcoming and accommodating. I never have my card but they happily look it up and don’t make me feel bad about it.
