Very accessible, despite COVID restrictions
Swimming pool and class
I've only utilized Tandy. Starting my 4th week & take a water aerobics class Mon-Fri. The staff & my classmates have been consistently warm, welcoming, & encouraging. The facility is clean & safe. I'm looking forward to taking additional classes this Fall.
Everything is so clean. Everyone is friendly. I am so happy my family joined!
Great facility and there is a wide selection of classes.
They are fun
I enjoy how happy my child is after going to the Y’s play and learn. Very Attentive and numbers of children to teacher ratio is great!!!
The use of the VipR on Tuesday and Thursday mornings are excellent. I love doing a workout that gets my heart rate up in 30 minutes.
Exercise equipment and security
Good sanitation and exercise machines are socially distanced. Masks encouraged.
Swimming
Love Monday and Thursday night yoga. Would like to see more evening yoga classes.
Thank you
Our Tandy is a nice, clean, safe and fun facility. Everyone is helpful and it is certainly a family atmosphere. The Ware family loves it!
I like the periodic challenges that keep you engaged and excited about working out. I also like the classes that one is able to sign up for to workout in a group setting.
Love the yoga room and classes
Your water aerobics.
Family oriented
Fun and friendly. Kids exercise class would be outstanding to have.
Members are so nice and kind to one another
I love the variety of options available at all different times to fit your schedule.
I feel very safe with the Covid 19 Prevention Measures the Y has put in place. Thank you very much!!!!
My trainer, Hope Lindsey, is excellent. She is encouraging but not pushy. She has designed a workout for me that is getting my muscles in all around good shape. It doesn't take too much time and I don't mind doing it. I challenge myself to do one rep more on the cybex weight machines than I did the last time.
We like the friendly atmosphere, the equipment, and the facility.
Would like to have you offer the e-volt device with printout and an attendant in the lobby 3 or 4 days per month. You would not need the OU people there, just a YMCA staff person who knows how to run the e-volt machine. That would have great benefit to us, so we could see how we are progressing. Don't need someone to check our vital signs, since we are on the Precor elliptical machine 3-times a week and we take our blood pressure with our own device at home.
The evaluation offered last January was great, but not needed monthly and it took many people to staff every station. Just have the e-volt in the lobby 3-or-4 times per month would fill a void.
Share this with Brian Henrichs and Kelsey Lamb.
Thanks
I love cardio step to start my week with Yaz on Monday at 8:30. She is a great teacher. I love stretching with Yoga classes. Great teachers at the Tandy Y!
Even though we are Covid aware, we still have community here!
Friendly staff, navigating these troubling times. I also love how the YMCA comes around families and helps with the children to guve them outlets

Swimming
Love the swimming pools and Go Camp
I like several of the instructors
Very organized and managed with integrity and an emphasis on caring for people.
The new cycling gym at the Tandy Y. I wish more of the instructors would use the video function. The Daily Y needs better spin cycles, the ones there are really not good. I also like swimming and wish that the pools were bigger to accommodate more people.
The Weekend life guards need to be trained when it comes to the slide. Last Sunday there was a woman who had retrieved her three year old at the top and had to go back down the stairs. Twice! I told the lifeguard what I was seeing and she did not know the rules about lining up at the bottom then one person goes half way and the one at the top goes down the slide. Then the line moves forward.Kids need an arm band to do the slide and there were kids without arm bands going down the slide. If they come another day during the week they will assume there are no rules. At one point there were 5 people in the middle of the stairs. Guard just sat there and was oblivious. When I told her she needed to be over by the slide with so many people she told me she had been told pretty much nothing about the rules. The rules have to be the rules 7 days a week.
