We are new to the YMCA when it comes to exercising. My husband and I have been going 5 nights a week since the beginning of the year. The equipment is fantastic and love that we can watch Netflix. The only downside is that we have children and work so we often get gym until 8:00pm. It would be great if
You were open until 10:00 for working parents. But when we can’t get there until 8:00, we really want to utilize that hour to strength train and do cardio. There are some employees that do
Time warnings and walk around the gym SEVERAL times at regular intervals. And I don’t mind the time warnings but every 15 minutes and then turning the TVs off is distracting and makes me feel rushed. We are actually looking for another gym because of the closing at 9:00 but then also we don’t feel comfortable staying until 9:00 because we feel we are almost being pushed out the door.
Group fitness classes... instructors are encouraging and workouts are great!

I only do water aerobics at the bixby Y and I thoroughly enjoy the classes. The staff is wonderful!
The only issue I have against the Bixby YMCA is the ladies showers. The plumbing is pathetic and needs immediate attention for repairs.
-The knob in one shower stall is very difficult to turn on and off.
-The water is cold in one of the shower stalls.
-The sprayer needs to be replaced in one stall as it sends the water out to big.

The people who attend the Y and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Not real crowded.
I have a great teacher (Charlotte) who makes my sessions productive and enjoyable. Need more classes for Seniors.

My kids love Play and Learn at the Dickenson. There are great activities, books, toys, and arts&crafts. The employees are usually attentive and kind.
