I was glad to be able to sign with a notary closer to home than make a trip to Rochester from Northfield. I was extremely pleased with the ability to get all parties to work together as we had feared disruptive behavior from one of the parties.
With regard to remote payment, I was told that I would be receiving same day delivery of the money to my home. The delivery did arrive in the Northfield Fed-Ex and that could be verified electronically. The message on the FedEx line indicated that I would need to go to their office on the next business day to get my package. However, this information was not exactly correct - I received that package at home delivered by FedEx Monday morning about 11:00 am. I realize that this was a complex situation, but I would have appreciated a better grasp of time by all parties as It did cause some extra waiting, etc.
