Water classes

Lately I have been using the treadmills for walking. I have used many types of treadmills. The ones at the Y are particularly easy to change the speed and incline with the lever type of switch, as opposed to pressing a hard-to-press button on other treadmills. This lever type of switch is easier to change and is safer because of its ease.

I also like the different pools, although for lap swimming I only like the recreation pool because of the warmer water and it's a little harder to use because of time availability.

I love the diversity of membership, the broad range of programs and amenities offered, and I love the mission of the Y. I don’t like Powel Crosley any better than any other way. I think they’re all great.
But I have some criticisms: the overhead music playing at PCY can be annoying in the workout room. I bring earbuds and listen to music or a book on my phone while I’m on the treadmill, and sometimes the music is so loud that I can’t focus on what’s in my own earbuds. I usually turn down the music and then somebody turns it back up. I went to a YMCA in Bloomington Indiana and they do not have music playing. What’s wrong with silence in the workout room? If people want to listen to music they can bring their own. And why do we have to have so many TV screens. I don’t see how that contributes to building community.

Just a great place to swim & workout, and great staff!

Powell Crowley offers many activities and programs for all ages to participate in. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome.
The facility is very nice and well maintained.

I like the workout facilities—lots of different equipment so I can put together a fun program.

I also have to commend you for having such friendly staff.

Everything. Close to home and friendly staff.

The exercise classes and exercise equipment. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well maintained. The outside grounds are nice.

My wife and I are just starting out with the Y for 2026, but we are excited to try the offerings available to us. Please keep us informed so we can take advantage of the opportunities that we will enjoy. We are both in our 70's.

Pool activities need to include water volleyball for seniors

I love the pool areas and the lifeguards are so helpful. The kids pool is awesome!! My grandson has special needs and the kids pool is just perfect for him.
