Silver sneaker classes are wonderful. Instructor and community are amazing.
Yesterday was a perfect example. The director gently told our class about the passing of one of our members. It was a shock but everyone comforted one another. It's family! We stay physically active and socially active. We feel valued and loved.

Enjoy the pool and the adult swim

I usually come to swim when Powell Crosley 's pool is not open. I have been a Y member since 1965. I belonged to GNY and went there almost exclusively until sometime in the early 2000's.. I stopped going to GNY because so many times, there was no guard, I swam at 6 because I had to go to work). I just got tired of it. Imagine my surprise, when I was told on Friday, that I couldn't swim outside because there was no guard for outside. I know former and current YMCA guards. Apparently 1. CRC pays more. 2.There is no true Aquatic Director, only head guards with not much people experience. So when a guard tries ti reprimand simeone, there is no one who will back them up. I was a guard once, I get it. I wouldn't want to work there either if I knew no one had my back. Sad, GNY, used to be a great Y. It no longer is.

I really enjoy the fitness classes. I regularly attend the Water Fitness classes and the Silversneakers Classic classes. Attending these classes hels me stay active and I also enjoy interacting with the other participants.

The instructors are very knowledgeable and help me adapt the exercises to my challenges.

We went to visit the outdoor pool and it was great! We loved the splash pad for the kiddos too

There are many different activities for all age and ability levels.

The cleanliness and calm atmosphere with polite and professional staff.
If I may make a suggestion, the outdoor pool needs steps for the elderly to get in and out of the pool safely.
Not the steps built into the side of the pool.
The elderly does not have the arm and leg strength to pull themselves up the way they could if they were able to walk up steps

I love the upgrades in the women's shower area and your outdoor pool.

They have options for different classes that work with my schedule and staff is always friendly and courteous

The front desk staff was very friendly.It was nice to swim at the outdoor pool, since the central pkwy Y was closed for a week.

I like the instructors! I go to classes taught by Gena and Kendra. Their classes are challenging and fun. They are so motivating! I also love the pool :). I also enjoy the sauna.
