The staff, how clean the facility is, and everything is on one level.
Prior to Covid, the 8:00 am MWF excerise class was a reliable class with one instructor. Now they switch instructors around and each one teaches a different style of class. Some of these classes really suck! We never have the same instructor for a single week and we never know ahead of time who the instructor will be. Some of the instructors are a total waste of my time and effort!

Variety of classes
I have a blast
I like the class selections. The times and instructors are very good. Sometimes there are shortages on equipment but all in all excellent offerings.
The variety of classes! Love the instructors!
The variety
Different programs for all activity levels .
I use the lap pool the most. I also like the options of the classes. I hope you hire more lifeguards soon.
The people at the Y!
Always feel comfortable while being there. Plenty of assistance.
Love the adventure center for my kids and so do they.
For me, I only use the exercise//weight room. The rest of the Y looks like it would have a wide variety of activities though. There's at least one basketball court, a racket ball room, an Olympic size swimming pool, at least two cardio with stationary bikes and treadmills a room for physical fitness. I believe I saw a room for children to stay and be occupied while the parents are exercising. I feel certain I haven't included all the features. Take a few minutes and go see what the Y has. The staff is very nice and friendly and would be glad to help you. >>>> From a member of the YMCA for at least 4 years and will continue to be.
I’ve always liked the Y. Have went there many years with a few missed years in there.
From the days of high impact aerobics in a full gymnasium until today on the treadmill for me.
Always enjoyed the group classes and may try to get back in one of those.
group classes and friendly staff.
I appreciate the pool hours and friendly staff.
The variety
We like the classes and the weight room and of course the workout machines.
One thing I would like to see it better control of the ac and heat. In the Y could save some money on heating bills in the cooler time of year by not running the heat so much in the workout center and the cycle room. It is hard to workout with the heat blowing!
Everything. Don't change a thing.

The variety.
I play racquetball three times per week, and lift weights usually two or three days a week. I enjoy the camaraderie of my friends at the Y. I’ve lived in other cities, and I think this is the best Y (compared to Baton Rouge, Pittsburg, Baltimore, etc). However, there’s still room for a little improvement.
Recommendation 1: Court A has a missing panel over one of the six lights at the front of the court. We have to replay a few shots every game because a ball get deflected from the missing panel. A panel could be removed from one of the courts with equipment, and hopefully be an inexpensive solution. A small gesture would go a long way toward how the racquetball guys feel about the Y.
Recommendation 2: Our racquetball group (15+ guys) typically has 8+ guys show up each time we play, so we always have to play doubles. All of us would like to have a third court to play singles too. It’s a long shot, but I believe you should ask anyway. My group plays at lunch, and there’s a night group that plays from 5 to closing. They have the same issues (Shayne Champion usually provides feedback for them).
There’s a general feeling that the Y wants the racquetball court space for other things. and racquetball players are not considered ‘prime’ customers. I hope that’s not the case, because we love playing and our group continues to grow. I think these guys should be featured in the next TV commercial for the Y. The ages are from 25 - 68, and all decades in between. And the 25 and 68 year-olds are both professional actors!
Thanks,
