Great facility and friendly staff

I have been a member for over two decades and routinely use the fitness center. Over all, I am very happy with the equipment and facility. In fact, I like it so much that in the past I have hesitated to give and constructive criticism. But lately it seems the rules have been largely unenforced. Some of the issues I've seen are many people texting or browsing social media between sets or while walking around. I actually have seen people texting while curling a dumbbell in the other hand. Sometimes people will take 5-10 minutes between sets because they are busy on their smartphone. In addition, there are those that workout in Crocs & sandals, etc. It is just a matter of time until someone drops a weight on their foot or slip and fall. Also, there are many who bring large backpacks that they leave on the floor where others could trip and perhaps hit their heads on very solid metal equipment. These issues tend to get worse just after New Years Day and after graduation in May/June. Perhaps a little more enforcement during this time would help. I love the Y, and I hope this constructive criticism helps.
I like that the Y considers the needs of all age groups. The Dancel Y needs to hire more instructors for their water fitness classes. We Seniors are learning the importance of getting exercise to stay healthy.Water fitness allows us to move without pain. If the Aqua exercise classes are always crowded and full so that people get turned away, then that is an indication that more classes need to be added on.
It was very nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was very clean. I was happy with my visit.

As a single person it’s affordable, the staff is welcoming; most of the members are welcoming and I feel great after each class.
The availability of locations and range of services. My kids have grown up at the Y.

I like the flexibility of access to multiple classes at different times. Also, I like the ability to use different YMCAs throughout the US when I travel.
I have been a member of the Y for the past 12 years. I have had great experiences there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and kept up. I enjoy the classes, gym and pools. I also use all the equipment for a good work out. Sometime however, the gym equipment is out of service too long. Thanks!

The Dancel is a modern, well-equipped facility in a convenient location. Machines are well maintained. Both staff and clientele are friendly and diverse.

Employees are super welcoming and positive. They might be sincerely glad to see me and may even root for my success. I cannot say this about most places I go.
The Y is super romantic (i.e. Childcare!!). My Wife and I worked out together almost every day. Our old gym is where we met, became friends, and eventually fell in love. Literally, since our first child was born we have not exercised together — But we joined The Y a few months ago. We exercise together again. No Joke. It’s really encouraged us in our relationship. The Y is super romantic.
It's also the healthiest, most convenient, and cost effective way to spend quality family time together. Our kids love to hang out at the climbing wall, soccer practice, and the pool. And so do we. Sometimes we each get a hot drink and have a family hockey tournament.
Our lives are way different since we joined. We are very grateful for The Y. Very very grateful.
