We love all the programs for kids. The Fun-days when schools are closed and Parents Night Out. My kids always have a great time.

I arrived for my first visit to attend a Swim Basics class and explained when trying to sign in. I'd joined online s couple of months prior but had not been sent the llittle plastic keychain thing she said was "required" for entry! Now mind you I'd had a few automatic payment deducted already and also showed her my paid swim class registration receipt at the podium in the doorway. I was sent to the left to a Bryan and reverified and give a keychain thingy that I dont use because I have a key fod. After wondering around trying to find my class a ran into Shirley who was cleaning the locker room and "she" showed me where the class met and a breif show of the ladies locker room floorplan. Not the best welcome from the front door but I still have seven more classes towards becoming a more confident swimmer!
I love the community and classes. The childcare center is absolutely amazing for both me and my two children. Love it!!!

This is my home away from home. I look forward each week to the Aqua Arthritis class. Tricia Is an excellent instructor. I arrive early as the class is often full. I always leave with a big smile and a refreshed feeling. Laura and DW meet me in the lobby and always have a big smile and words of encouragement. This place is so close and convenient. As long as I live in the area I will be a guaranteed member.
The Dancel YMCA is a beautiful facility filled with friendly and professional staff. There is a wide variety of activities for all ages. The only suggestion I have is to provide a larger space for the very popular classes. When I first started with the Y last July 2023, the Sunday Total Body was held in the gym. This class draws many, many members. At some point this class moved to a smaller room. While the Y attempts to limit participation, is this really the solution. Limiting creates disappointment among members or worse yet, members getting multiple tickets for friends (which is fun to watch grown people do this) but puts Y staff in a VERY uncomfortable position.
Lastly, if the Y wants to limit attendance by tickets, post Y staff at the door. Please don't put this on the instructors.
