Y has a variety of activities for all ages; from exercise classes, yoga, Pilates, cycling, swimming, basketball, pickleball and many more. The instructors are very nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. The staff are likewise very friendly and helpful: Sam,Laura, Sarah, Deidra, Karen, KB, Paul, Ryan, Brent, Sandy, Racquel, Markeis, Jamal, Mike to name a few!! I call the Y my second home, my happy place, I found my second family here at the Y. A group of us who were interested to learn and play Mahjong last October 5, 2023 asked the staff if we can use the Y as our venue for our weekly mahjong session and we are given permission and even provided us 2 tables we can use . We are so thankful for this. So it’s been over a year now that we play mahjong and our number of players have grown.
I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility. Kudos to Jennifer who keeps the women’s locker rooms and changing rooms tidy and clean. I appreciate the cordial Dancel Y team members who go the extra mile to take care of us.
I appreciate the quality of the water class trainers, life guards and the cleanliness of the warm pool and main pool. We all appreciate that Dancel has two pools to support various water activities. Keep up the great work.

I like the warm water pool when it is warm
It is Fun and we all have good time at the facility. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoy Pickleball a lot.

I have a new community of friends at the Y. As an elder adult, it’s so important. I feel known and loved.
Maintenance in the men's locker room at Ellicott City Y is terrible. Drains in the showers do not drain properly. I have brought this to staff's attention and nothing has been done. The water valves in the showers need replacement. You can't fully turn them off so water runs continuously. You are wasting hundreds of gallons of water each day. Many of the lockers are damaged and are difficult to open.
Generally maintenance is terrible and when you report something, rarely is it repaired and if it is, it takes many weeks.
Staff is nice, yoga instructor, Gail, is great!

Parents night out, gym, hours of operation. I wish there were more individual swim lessons available for kids and adults.
