The basketball clinics run by Coach Butler were fantastic. I saw a huge improvement in both my kids. Would love to see more from him.
Why are the age ranges for girls and co-ed basktball different? When my daughter turns 16 next summer her choices will be: 1. play on the co-ed team with guys who outweigh her by 20-50 lbs, are far faster, more aggressive and more physical; or 2. not play at all. I'll choose not play at all. I would love to see the age range for girls basketball adjusted to 13-17.
Overall, the YMCA sports programs are great and a massive improvement over the previous athletic director.

My daughter had a fantastic experience at the YMCA summer camp! The staff were friendly, supportive, and clearly passionate about creating a fun and safe environment. Each day was filled with engaging activities—from sports and swimming to arts and nature exploration. It was the perfect balance of learning and fun, and my daughter came home excited every day. We’ll definitely be signing up again next year! Highly recommend!

Coach Kristi is great. She motivates the children to be better and more competitive. She is very organized. My son has been in the team for more than two years and it is the first time he is so motivated, and we are also happy.👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Very likely. Facility is great to get needed exercise. Employees are friendly and helpful. Machines are operating well and they normally are available.
Nevaeh has a great time all the time. Counselors are very nice. Lots of activities to keep her busy.

My kids really enjoy the counselors at the camp.
My son had an amazing time. He loved this camp even more than High 5 which surprised me because at high 5 they had things like the gaming grotto and field trips. The counselors were amazing and he was engaged the whole day. We will definitely be back next summer.
The lessons are fun for beginners. My son looks forward to attending because he loves the Thursday staff. The staff at Rogers Park and First Tee are absolutely pleasant.
