Always friendly and helpful staff. So glad the hot tub is back!
Exercise equipment and steamroom.
Beautiful pool!
Versatility and programs for all ages
Great staff
I've been struggling to get back to the Y for my own fitness. I went on a Wednesday night for pilates and was greeted by a very nice person at the front desk--Immanuel maybe?
I was also pleased that the child care center is open until 8--this is so nice and will make it so much easier to attend classes!
I also attended a 715 pilates class--the instructor was very welcoming and supportive and the class was great.
Overall, this Y represents my expectations of my experience at the Y--welcoming, approachable, and meeting me and my family where we are. The facility was clean and well-kept, and again I find this to be an excellent value for my family's limited dollars!
I mostly come to use the gym. I like the facilities and the staff members are always kind and friendly.
Nice pool, friendly staff
It’s always clean and friendly.
Really like pool and water aerobics classes. Happy to see improvements coming with steam room fixed, hopefully hot tub is next?
Your pool is my favorite of all the Y indoor swimming pools in Alt. area.
It is just a bit cooler than the other swimming pools, which means it is why it is THE favorite for 30 minute plus swims.
I sure hope you keep the temperature where it is or even a LOWER temperature.
THANK YOU ALL that maintain the pool and watch over the swimmers!!!

Great energy and instructor!
I enjoy the swimming pool most of all. The environment brings peace and security to me during my time in the water as I swim and exercise in a water aerobics class especially listening to music. The classes are helpful to my mental health and physical fitness such as Pilates, Active Older Adult classes, walking the track. The staff members are kind, friendly and helpful towards the YMCA members. It’s just a Great Place to Be!
I use the gym and the pool and overall I am very content. The folks at the front desk are fantastic and helpful.
Ms Gwen at the pool is lovely!
The pool does gets a bit murky (bandaids and random things floating around) at times so I very much apprecite the deep clean going on this week. I have noticed that very few people shower before the pool which I think should be enforced for eveyone's safety and the lifeguards should have authority and initative to do so. After the pool closure last winter, I noticed that the lifeguards changed. The current ones are mostly on their phones if there are only adults swimming (not a huge deal but if there ever was an emergency I would. not trust them to save me). During the summer there are a lot more children and families (which I 100% support) but sometimes all the lanes are taken by people just floating around and throwing toys. I have on many occasion asked the lifeguard on duty to help me find a lap lane (as all the aquatics teachers have advised me to do) but they are young and hesitant and the instructors usually end up being the ones helping out.
The gym is great, everyone is respectful, the machines are mostly operational and I appreciate the many wet wipe locations you all offer.
I would be ahppy to score the Y at VIllages at Carver Family YMCA a 9/10 if it were not for the current lifeguards. I try to swim at the East Lake location but it is much too busy.
I like the weight area, but I wish you still had the xpresso bikes and the stretch station
I like chair yoga classes in YMCA. But the management should look into all kinds of problems inside the building such as whirlpool and the steam room should be maintained and open for the members.
Excellent Staff & Services
I only use the wellness center but Carver is my favorite location in this area. The staff is friendly and recognizes me when I come in (including some encouragement if they haven't seen me in a while). There's plenty of parking whenever I want to go, although I highly prefer quiet times. When there is children's programming, the parents aren't parked everywhere blocking every space and then some. The facility is always clean. The wellness center, while it could use a hand bike and some more things like stretch bands and lighter weights, is usually a pleasant experience. The only negative for Metro Atlanta Y is the pricing for individual adults. When I initially starting attending the Y, prepandemic, I was invited by a neighbor and membership was $35 or $40 - very much in line with local gyms and was a great incentive considering I wasn't active at a gym at the time. The Y offered a much better atmosphere and felt more safe. Today's $80+ is insane. Given that I don't have a family, I'm not clear on what necessitates such a high fee or what additional value-adds I'm missing out on to take full advantage of my membership. When organizations say they want to be inclusive of all community members, that usually means the elderly and children (which is the right thing to do) but I feel forgotten about as part of said community. I've continued my membership in support of the other programming because I think it's important. But am not sure how long I will be able to sustain that, given that it feels unfair. Thank you for considering my feedback.
Very nice Indoor pool, changing/shower area for families (with children), hot tub poolside, and nice lounge area with snack machines.
Everything the programs are very helpful for the senior and the caring from the staff is awesome.
I really enjoy the line dancing classes. I also enjoy the community engagement events that this YMCA organizes. Lastly, the staff at the Carver YMCA is always very kind and engaging.
I thoroughly ALL the classes that I attend and the facility itself! I participate in the "line dance class"..."hula hoop" class...and "water aerobics" ...all ofwhich are instructed by excellent teachers....
I am so thankful that the pool and whirlpool has continuously work throughout the summer so that I will be able to exercise on a weekly basis...
The facility is "ALWAYS" clean and odor-free which I thoroughly enjoy just sitting in the lounge area, enjoying conversations with others and watching members swim!
What a GREAT place to be!!!
Nice wellness centet
the people are fantastic, the machines are in great condition, and the facilities are always clean
Swimming water aerobics is my favorite thing to do because of my health issues,
The polite, kindness & welcoming feeling from the time I enter and when I’m leaving the facility.
Great customer service.😊
I love everything the facility have to offer. I would highly recommend it.
I just use the workout room with all the machines. I like how most connect to my Apple Watch. However, I wish they would update the elliptical to have that feature. It does take some of the machine longer to get fixed when they broke. However, this is the only gym that I have ever consistently gone to over the years. Staff is super friendly as well.
The front desk people always greet you warmly. The classes are great - wide variety, good teachers - I love Safia's classes and also Faith and Anita, they really challenge you. Bobbi, great Caoch. New gym equipment, so nice! And the facility is immaculate.
I don't go enough, but appreciate it every time I do go.
The coaches and staff are very caring. There is always a friendly greeting. The coaches are very good and they care about my development. As a senior they do an extraordinary job.
I come here for water aerobics & occasional workouts with light weights. The receptionists that greet meet are always nice & courteous…the staff is nice & courteous & the facility is always kept clean & sanitized.
