Denise, who teaches yoga, is my drive to East Lake Y. I live super close to the Decatur Y but, first it was Susan M and now its Denise, who are such great instructors, they are worth the drive. I do miss Susan!

I use the pool. It’s a very nice facility with hot tub, sauna, and steam room as rewards after my swim.
Convenient to schedule
I love the family atmosphere of this location. Yes, the YMCA is a family gym experience but East Lake gets it and gives a sense of community. My children grew up in this gym and we choose it above the other locations. (Only South Dekalb, was similar)
We returned to the ELY about 6 months ago. Very clean and sanitized.
We appreciate the effort to use scheduling swi.ming lanes to lessen contact between members.

For myself, being an elderly person, I enjoy dropping by there in the morning after I take my grandchild to a school close by, and I walk or ride the stationary bike. For my grand child, who is overweight, I like for her to use the exercise equipment, swim, or play basketball.

Being able to access the pool area via appointments. Everything is run so professionally.
The pool is clean and. It over crowded. Facilities overall are well maintained. Friendly staff.
I play pickle ball there and use the weight training facility. Everyone is very friendly helpful and nice. I like the way that the weight rooms are divide it up throughout the facility. It can be a little inconvenient, but it gives so much more space for movement and training.
Recently there has been a change that I'm loving for the better. I frequently use the pool , sauna, steam and hot tub. However prior to b4 it was always hard to use them even if I had a time slot. The lifeguards there were never dressed appropriately and always literally on their cell phones. People would over crowd these rooms and no one said anything but I love the fact that the bathrooms and locker area has always been kept clean.

I like the location of the facility. Also, the staff are professional and the facility and surroundings are always clean.
