The programs are very inclusive -there is something for everyone. Staff members are always helpful and knowledgeable.
Good- Friendly staff and great equipment.
Bad- Unlike the other YMCA locations I visit across the country, you have no signs in your weight area. This makes it difficult.
The normal signs. 1. No sitting on the equipment and reading your cell phone. Please be courteous to your fellow member. (Today I came in and there were 4 people hogging the equipment looking straight down reading their emails.)
2. Please allow others to use the equipment with you while you do your sets. ( For some reason people will try to not move or share the equipment.)
I do not have these issues at other locations that have signs prominently shown. I have brought this issue up to your staff already.
You have programs that will accommodate al ages and abilities.
Pickleball
I appreciate the YMCA programs for their welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to engage in activities like pickleball. The members are incredibly friendly, always willing to teach and improve skills at every level. Additionally, the recent addition of three courts has enhanced the overall experience, providing more opportunities for participation and enjoyment.
I like the instructors for the group classes. There is a good variety of classes. And I like the new dedicated cycle room. I do wish there were more cycle classes. And I wish the classes would go back to an hour long.
Everything
You offer a good variety of classes and equipment for anyone to be successful in their get healthy journey. I’m particularly impressed with the swimming pool size and the equipment, like flotation belts & other pool devices that are available for our use. I’m also impressed by the strong & caring instructors like Ellie & Augustine who are skilled & continue to encourage you to do your best!

The gym is amazing. The facilities are very clean. The equipment is up to date and the staff is wonderful.
We only use the open swim so far for water therapy, but really enjoy the facility and have appreciated the personable, helpful staff.

Professional and friendly staff though out the facility. I love the variation of classes and programs offered and the building is always nice, clean and welcoming to everyone.
Love the increased pickleball hours and additional courts on Sundays. I'd love to see some more courts available on weeknights when the courts are not being used for basketball. I realize we need to share the space with the basketball players and volleyball players but when there's no one on the courts, would be nice.
Angela is often the person at the front desk when I come in and she's always a pleasure to see with her kind words and smile for everyone. Thank you, Angela!

Have been a member of Lincoln, Nebraska YMCA and Ed Isakson YMCA since 1979. All I can say things just keep getting better. My family loves the Alpharetta YMCA. We are completely vested in our Alpharetta Y. I am always proud to share the story about my daughter’s journey the Alpharetta Y. She is now finishing her PhD in Biogeochemistry and Ocean Ecology, but she started her education about community involvement as a pre-K student in after school program Odessy at Ocee Elementry. She participated in every Big Creek summer camp, she was a volunteer helper upon every opportunity, then she was camp counselor in training and finally when she became of legal age she was employed by Alpharetta Y and proudly received her FIRST paycheck of her life from YMCA. She and I have learned so much by being Y members, specially she who has learnt the value of community involvement and reaching out to people.
As for Alpharetta Y, has improved in every aspects of operation, maintenance and management in last couple years. Right after the COVID there was a period of adjustment but it is all excellent now and I can see people are flocking back on daily basis.

Friendly instructors, variety of programs, good weight area. I would mention that the cardio bikes are out of service more than I expect and sometimes the TV on the cardio doesn't work.
