I love that we have to make reservations to get a lane in the pool for lap swim and that the doors are kept open to let the air flow through.
Upstairs, the weight room is great at 5am.
You need to order supplies ahead of time so that we don't run out (sanitizing wipes}. This is the second time. Why aren't there any disposable gloves anymore? I would feel much safer with them.
Love the staff, instructors, classes and general friendliness and vibe -- and attention to safety during the current pandemic.

Also, I am dabbling into the group classes and enjoy the focus, the fun, and the exercise.
While I am a bit of a lap swimmer, and enjoy the use and equitable schedule procedure, the "shared lane" system is a bummer, especially when paired with a heads-down lap swimmer -- they often think they own the lane.
My preference would be to return to individual, unshared lanes and reduce the time to 45 minutes. All that to say, I love the Y.

I love the Decatur Y because it is so comfortable and friendly. It has a diverse (in every way - gender, age, race, and physical ability) clientele. Full array of free classes. Great pricing for seniors.
Our family is very happy at the Y. The activities the Y offers to our family and the community are outstanding and enhance our lives.

Patty's yoga classes are the best! She is very aware of the various abilities of her students and takes individual experience into account when leading her classes. Patty is approachable for one-on-one instruction, kind, and accommodating. And- she knows her stuff! RF

The pool/hot tub, but the one in Decatur could be cleaner. East Lake is cleaner. I like the equipment too.
