In spite of current restrictions the Decatur Y has control offer a variety of options in the form of fitness activities inside and outside. All front desk /wellness desk staff and class instructors are we.coming to everyone. The management team has been receptive to comments and suggestions from members - notably since the “reopening” from the 2020 Y shutdown.
Secondly, the variety of fitness classes offers something just about every day for any activity involving a group activity someone could/would need or want.
I just like how friendly and helpful everyone is.
I haven’t participated enough. I mostly do the treadmill, bike and some weight machines. Unfortunately I don’t plan and look ahead to know what is going on well. I usually find out what’s going on when I get there & it’s too late to jump in.
The instructors and classes are consistently excellent. Everyone of the staff is helpful, polite and friendly.

I need good customer service
The Y has become a world class facility with great leadership. The handling of the cleaning of the equipment during the original pandemic was extraordinary. I would like to say that sometimes it takes a little long to get the machines fixed especially if one of only three is broken. One other thing. Signing the waiver when you check it is a waste of time. Don’t we sign a waiver when we join the Y? 99% of the people do not even read it.
