I love body pump. I just wish you offered more classes. I also wish the pool was open for some lap swimming before 11 a.m. on week days.

I love the Decatur YMCA! I am so happy they have started a Special Olympics basketball program! Wonderful, happy staff who encourage everyone! Thanks to Coach Ruth, for always encouraging me to take time for me!

Wish there were more (varied) early morning class options.
I really love the facilities and the staff. The facilities are very clean, the staff at the front desk and upstairs and the cleaning staff are all very nice people. I also feel like a "person" when communicating with the staff - I am not made to feel in ANY WAY as though I am simply a "customer or number". It is a friendly environment, personable, yet very respectful to the individual. The security officer in the parking lot is wonderful as I am a lone female and like to park in the back lot. He makes me FEEL SAFE. Wonderful facility, wonderful staff - absolutely no complaints from me!
I have not participated in any programs but have been very happy with the Decatur YMCA overall. The daycare faculty and staff is excellent.
My family enjoy playing basketball and swimming and using the exercise machines.

i like the variety of group classes offered throughout the day
We’re new to the Decatur community and decided on a Y membership for the “community” aspect of a gym.
We like the variety of programs offered through the YMCA, the regular communication and e-newsletters, the friendly staff, nice gym equipment, and great workout classes.
Our favorite class is the Tuesday/Thursday 0930 HITT class with First name removed. She’s a fantastic trainer and puts together a strong workout.
We also love the front desk staff! They are always friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door.
The Decatur YMCA isn’t simply a place where we workout; it’s a place where we belong.
Great range of activities fr youth. Excited about peloton bikes. Clean. Generally friendly staff.

I have not attended programs or classes
The constructive criticism I would make is that I believe the YMCA should have more recumbent bikes. There is often a wait for that item. The list up front (waiting list) is not in any way helpful as no one lets you know when bike is free, no one enforces list and I frankly dont know what it is for.
When I look at list, people are always waiting for recumbent bike. So I would recommend to order another one and fix them more promptly when broken. That is my feedback.
