I love that there is a huge amount of variety and that it's inexpensive to join.
But not for swimming. We had a horrible experience and were not satisfied by the response we received from our local YMCA. The main problem was continuous teacher turnover and unpleasant personalities to deal with little children. Other programs - gymnastics, adult classes, summer camps - we are happy and recommend to others often.

Beautiful cardio area with full glass windows. Nice pool area with hottub and steam room. lots of class options for adults and children to choose from!

Professionally run. Great instructors. Clean facilities. Welcoming employees. They are inclusive in all they do. Great EX Dir & Assit. They go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable in each class.
I love the gymnastics program for my toddler and the staff at the play center is amazing! My youngest took a few visits to warm up to everything as he was in the midst of the typical separation anxiety that sets in around 8-9 months but everyone worked so well with him and it is now one of his favorite places to be!
We love Ms. Mary and her staff at the Decatur Y Child Center! Mary runs a professional and safe childcare center with a friendly and caring environment. We’ve been impressed with each of her staff as they care for our child. We love them and absolutely recommend it to anyone!

The staff and facility are great. The showers don't have much pressure, and this YMCA has become exceptionally crowded. I've been going to East Lake sometimes to be sure I can get on the Peloton bike.

I have been a Y member for 25 years. In the mid-80's I was a "Dancing Aerobics" instructor, and many of my former class participants are still Y members.
The diversity of DDY staff and membership is an OUTSTANDING strength, from age, to race, to disability, to gender identity. DDY's commitment to the under-served and refugee communites is extraordinary and most commendable.
The class offerings are vast, the instructors, and Wellness Coaches, dedicated professionals, committed to helping members meet their wellness/fitness goals.
The variety and number of fitness classes is great
I love the classes, HIIT especially. The nursery, Mary and her entire staff are an absolute blessing!! They always have smiles and open arms, even to the babies who aren’t as thrilled to be there. Mary’s patience and encouragement is invaluable to me and my family.
