Good staff, nice facility and east access.
It’s been great getting back in the swing of things at the Y. Friendly staff and top notch equipment. Can’t recommend it enough.
I don't personally do a lot of programs & activities, but I think it's important that they are accessible & inclusive and YMCA seems to take that responsibility seriously
Great instructors and really welcoming atmosphere. I love the community that goes there. Lots of older people who are really friendly. I also really like the front desk staff. I like how lively the place feels--great energy!
Friendly front desk staff
Great location. Nice place to work out. As long as you can find a parking space you are good to go. Staff is very nice as well.
Steam and sauna are great.
Outdoor group classes
I haven’t attended one of your programs though I have been seriously checking out the cycling program! Looks intense even though the participants are sitting and not wearing and tearing down the knees!
But I love the Townlake facility for the various weight machines and many treadmill machines! Variety allows for a balanced workout!
An inclusive vibe
Very professional and helpful customer service personnel. They always great you with smile! When they say "Can I help you, they mean it". Joe F.
Clean. Well organized. Much variety
Classes are offered each day and at various times.
Front desk staff are helpful and friendly.
Facility is always clean and spacious.
Instructors are always on time and capable.
We live downtown so for us the location is very close- we can walk to the Y.
Other people in classes say “you must be new” and then introduce themself
The variety workout classes, pickleball, and the sauna/steam room are my favorites! I recommend offering more early morning classes (5 - 6:30 AM) for people who prefer working out prior to the start of their day. The red lockers near the pool need to be upgraded to digital lockers. People don’t carry around locks anymore. The staff is super friendly, too!
The facility is clean and the equipment is maintained.
I adore the classes, I just wish that some of the BodyPump classes prioritized ending on time, especially the BodyPump Express classes. I would love more pilates and spin classes in the mornings, and I'd love women only hours again.
great masters swim program (Mon+ Wed lunchtime)
Masters Swim is great especially Coach Mikey who has been amazing
Our girls enjoyed their lessons and have been progressing.
Yoga, gym, Master's swim
Availability of machines, cleanliness and friendliness
Great swimming teachers
Good instructors and kind
Mikey Calvillo is by far the best masters coach the y has had in 10 years. I hope he’s being paid what he’s worth! He’s increased the masters program and made it very worth while.
I like the Tai Chi instruction
The Masters Swim program on M-W~F is fabulous. Unfortunately, we have missed several days of practice due to missing lifeguards.
It has great equipment and staff. Shannon Wood is a great trainer.
Great classes, variety of classes and times. Friendly staff and members. Very welcoming
The wide variety of group classes and friendly, professional staff at Town Lake YMCA have made it one of my most treasured go-to places. Beyond the health benefits of strength training, yoga and cardio, the sense of community and belonging I have for the Town Lake Y is so valuable. I gladly recommend this wonderful facility to all my friends and family.

I've only really used the Townlake location's pool. The pool facilities are nice, it's the only one in town with actual starting blocks and some depth. I believe it also has the most lanes, but is also busier but I've never had an issue getting a lane. The hottub is easily accessible. The locker rooms and sauna are a little strange in their layout, I actually didn't know they existed without looking around a bit.
I did spend some time in the lobby/guest area. It has a nice view. The furnishing aren't great, but they work. I wasn't able to find the wifi and the guest wifi was spotty.
