The best thing about the YMCA is the income adjusted membership fee. As an advanced runner who needs a gym and who is low income, I greatly benefit from my personal affordable rate.
Townlake YMCA specifically has a unique charm granted by its architectural design. Furthermore, it’s proximity to town lake is very convenient, allowing movement from outdoor activities to indoor activities. The equipment is of high quality too, from treadmills to lifting equipment. I also benefit from the saunas available at Townlake YMCA.
I love all the options for playing Pickleball. Also for swimming laps in the pool.
Gym is great and stocked well, amenities are good too, and staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Joey!
I just like that the facility has a hot tub, dry sauna, and steam room.
Nice weights and machine assortment too.
Yoga classes are great, although it's somewhat difficult to find a truly gentle or beginning level class due the reclassification called "slow flow yoga".

Love the Tuesday am Yoga with Sarah, and you have a good pickleball group!
The programs are great. I wish there were senior discounts. Not everyone has silver sneakers and the cost is getting prohibitive.

I like that it's a very chill space. I always have a suitable machine available. Everyone is very friendly when I enter the building and leave. Those small interactions really make my day.
