Member Testimonials
I enjoy the AOA classes, silver sneakers, cardio dance and pickle ball. My husband likes to swim.
I love the group ex classes. Nikki is amazing in Zumba. Anna's aquatics classes are great.
The front desk is always friendly.
Instructors , consistency, and variety of classes
What I'm struggling with at the Springs Y is I finally starting taking yoga classes and they are too crowded. Clearly there is a large number of Y members, mostly over 50 yrs of age, who are interested in yoga. If this is your demographic and there is such a strong demand for yoga, please look at where you can add more classes and if you need to shift current classes around to the Group Exercise Studio where there is more room.
Finding yoga instructors shouldn't be a problem. There are many good instructors in the area looking for work.
Regarding the Mind-Body Studio, perhaps there should be a limit on how many individuals can attend a class in that room. Sonja remarked that four of her regular attendees have stop coming, likely because of the crowded classes.
This is a good problem to have. Please study your schedules and figure out how to shift class times or place or to add more offerings in order to meet the demand.
Thank you,

Good amount and variety of exercise equipment, swimming pools, gym. Friendly staff.
Love the yoga classes. Nice variety, very friendly staff
I like the yoga classes, I don't like how crowded the classes are
Activities, instructors and rooms are great! Something for everyone.
Good variety of classes
Wonderful facility. The staff is top notch.
love the kids sports and the pools!
I very much appreciate the quality of instructors. I am involved in the yoga classes, Sandra's water exercise class, and Beth's body pump classes. They are top quality. I would like to suggest that you reduce your guest pass to $10 a day. The $20 rate is too expensive. Thank you.
Great child watch area and staff.
Class schedules
Classes for seniors.
Youth Classes & Group Ex!!!
I like the variety of classes.
Our family likes the flexibility with our schedules. My husband and I both work and it's so good to know our Family YMCA offers programs that work with our work hours. Especially the Summer Theme Camps that go from 7am - 6pm.
group classes, affordable membership costs, responsiveness to member complaints/suggestions, friendly staff
Excellent equipment, excellent instructors
The Tues/ Thurs senior class at 11:30 is way to crowed. I’d really like a second class- same instructor- hopefully a bit earlier time, possibly 9.
Haven’t partaken yet but plan to.
Love the instructors and the facility. The front desk always so helpful.
I like the new layout. I LOVE my trainer, Anya Whaley! All of the staff is very helpful and friendly. I like the gender neutral showers: not only do I embrace the concept, but I confess to using them sometimes. I like the machine room. I wish I liked the aerobic and yoga programs better, but I'm an introvert and groups of people are not my thing. But I do think that the programs are great and I go when I am feeling vaguely social.
The sr strong class & silver sneakers. Annette is a wonderful teacher - always encouraging &
Fun.
I’ve been a member for many years, since before it was part of the Ymca.
People and staff are
friendly.
I use the treadmills , work out equipment and the outdoor pool.
I like Adrian’s yoga class, but wish she did a beginner level class.
Wish the y had longer hours on Sundays.
The Tuesday/Thursday Silver Sneakers class with Annette is very crowded.
Are there plans to open another section of this on those days?
Thank you!
Coming from California where the small personalized gym is really pricey ($200./mo) and the big gyms are completely impersonal, I'm thrilled with the Y. Love the classes and the instructors plus the people who are members are terrific. Really impressive facility.
Love the variety of exercise classes from yoga, swimming and body pump. All the instructors are well-trained. All Staff members are friendly. It is a joyful to come to exercise here.

I am happy to have joined. I have a variety of choices and the place is first class.
The AOA Strong class is challenging. Pickle ball is great and the water is perfect.
Machines are top of the line. More to explore in time.
I start with a Personal Trainer this week with a 6 month commitment.
I am very thankful to have such a place just a short drive from Wimberley.
