Mostly, I like the 'feel' of the place. It's bright and airy and the staff are friendly and greet you on your way in. In terms of programs and activities, I've tried a few. I like the senior exercise classes.

I like how many options I have when it comes to group exercise classes. The instructors have all been positive and encouraging, and I love that the YMCA offers Les Mills classes, which are my favorite.

Christine Hinkle is great and everything you would want in a trainer! She takes time to understand what your personal goals are as well as listen to what you say your body can do! She is encouraging but not pushing beyond your strength as you progress. Thank you Christine!

Good group classes. Kids liked the kids club.
I love the gentle yoga classes! My speed and my time of day! The walking track will be good for me this summer---too hot outside. (Can I bring my dog??)
I'm new to the Y so I haven't looked at everything, but I do have one request: Would it be possible to have a ballroom dance class? Both for learning and for practicing. That would be my dream!!

I love my time spent with Brooke! She is the primary reason why I come to the Y, though I am also trying to find ways to participate in the group classes. It is the work that I’ve done with my personal trainer that is giving me the confidence to try the more rigorous classes.
Variety of workout equipment that is in good shape. The staff is wonderful. Trainers are very knowledgeable
I like it that you offer Women with Weights led by a female instructor. I would be too intimidated to lift if the instructor were male, and also I find the small group of other women in this class very motivating. I've tried the body pump class, and I've felt some of the moves were painful for me - there's too much social pressure in body pump to do what everyone else is doing, so I stopped because I was afraid of hurting my shoulder. Women with weights is safer since I can communicate when something doesn't feel right for my body... this instructor will modify while keeping the exercise worthwhile. I feel good about my level of fitness in this class, and it motivated me to add an extra day of personal training on the weekend.
