I know all of y'all from Southwest YMCA... This is one of your employee. This is Noah
I love the people & my job. I am really love my new team that Includes (Ms. Smitha, Ms. Yvonne, Ms. Julie, Mr. Boats, Mr. Gary Reed, Ms. Dione, Ms. Lauren, Instructors, Friendly Clients, Newer Co-workers, The Painters & Ms. Grace.
You guys are my best friends & work partners. I love you all.
Ms. Haley, Ms. Andi, Ms. Kathy & Mr. Billy + Our Older Co-workers are still part of our YMCA Family. We will still remember them.
Great instructors for the classes I take. I enjoy meeting new friends there. Friendly staff!
Joint health class at pool is what I participate in. Great class!
I primarily come for the sauna and, when it’s working, it usually* clean and not too terribly crowded.
I appreciate when the folks at the front say hello, too. It’s the little things!
Thank you
I love that the Y is an inclusive, welcoming environment. The excellent staff are responsive to the needs of members with a variety of strengths and abilities.
Variety of programs and times. Knowledgeable and professional instructors. Clean outdoor pool. Plenty of equipment for classes. Friendly people at front desk. Overall positive experiences.
The variety of programs allows you to try something you have never done or thought about doing. Having multiple options in one location is a big plus first me.
Would like to see more chair yoga, and nia included in the schedule. These are so popular and sometimes difficult to get a reservation.
Everyone is helpful and friendly. There are a lot of choices for classes and many levels.
I especially love the Senior Chair Fitness class led by Rebecca. Please add more of these classes if possible.
AquaFit aerobics is the best!
My son is willing to go there every evening.
good people and a nice facility
The thing I like the most is that the heated outdoor pool is open year round. Also, the staff and especially the executive director are extremely helpful.
pool, indoor walking track, yoga classes, availability of trainers
Convenient, family friendly, and swimming pools year round.
The indoor pool, hot tub and sauna
Excellent
Nice mix of classes, and instructors are knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of participants.
Everything is well organized.
.
I would like to see the kinesiology class resume,
I would also like a senior weight class added. This is perhaps motr imported than any other senior class you offer.
I like the variety of programs available at reasonable prices
I love that Southwest Y has Sunday classes and also the indoor running/walking track. It's a little far from me but whenever I have the time on Sundays, I like that option is available to me.
Water aerobics
Hot tub
friendliness
sense of community
We enjoy the walking path and the gym equipment, friendly staff and the fact that there is no music playing.
Family friendly, friendly atmosphere
I am only doing gentle yoga twice a week plus walking the track as well on those days. Rebecca B could use a bigger room on Wednesdays at 1110 as the class fills up and she has to turn away people due to the room filling up. She does a magnificent job but the room is too small.
Those that lead our exercise classes our very knowledgeable and so kind. I love the friends I have made in my classes. They encourage me to attend and make me accountable.
I love the variety of programs, although I have only participated in the aqua fit with Shauna. I adore her in the class!
The women’s locker room could use better daily upkeep and maintenance, however. Last time I was there, I could not take a shower in the women’s locker room because two maintenance men were working on them. That was poor planning on the wise part because it coincided with the aqua fit class which is precisely when more people will need to shower then when there is not a pool activity. Probably the best time for such major maintenance and repairs would be after the Y has closed at night….
I’m excited to see what the new paint job will bring to the facility. So far, it looks good.
I also appreciate the fact that this particular why does not have Bibles or biblical verses or other religious symbols or verbiage around. The last Y that I went to in another state had that stuff and I was very uncomfortable around it. It’s not that I am not a believer or religious and spiritual person. I just don’t want that stuff around a place where I’m working out and attending to my own health and welfare, because it felt like force, feeding rather than supportive.
I hope all this information helps.
I like the group workout classes and the child watch center.
quality of teachers, variety of classes

I'm 65 and enjoy dancing with others my age. I enjoy the variety of classes and the app makes it so easy to sign in.
I wish i had a Y closer to where i live but for now i'll keep exploring at 2 different locations.
