Friendly staff .. convenient hours & location
There could be more of a variety of classes like adding cardio funk or Strong class but I like the number of machines there are to work on.
Instructors are knowledgeable, patient, understanding and sociable. I especially appreciate their approach to new students - do what you can and work at your own level.
I recently went to the YMCA website to look for a certain program information. After googling the YMCA branch info and clicking the pull-down menu, it opened a specific branch. However, it switched back to the YMCA Austin when I clicked the top menu. Since I do not go to the YMCA web site frequently, it was my ineptness of not being able to navigate the site well, but I also felt that the website could be less complex for anyone to check certain information without unnecessary 'clicking/searching' steps. this is not to a specific branch problem but I'd like to bring up this subject to share how I felt while using the website information experience.
I love the variety of activities you offer. The group exercise classes are amazing.
Classes
Love the pool - great space, well maintained, easy to use year-round. Also I use the stationary bikes and the extensive set of weight machines.
Friendly staff and well equipped exercise area.
Just enough activities to not crowd out individuals who work out and swim on their free time.
I really appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and the machines, and the body pump classes are very good. I miss the CardioMix circuit classes that Elaine taught - please bring those back!

I love the variety of group exercise classes and the times they are offered! I love the Zumba, rpm, and yoga classes! I’m excited to try the mixfit class and tai chi class soon! The staff are always friendly and helpful!
North Y is really embracing the 60 and over group.
The YMCA is such a friendly, healthy, fun place. I love my classes---step, pilates, yogalates--and the instructors are wonderful. I have been attending Enhance Fitness this past 2 months, and it has been great. The people are inspiring, funny, and encouraging as we all work together to improve balance and muscle strength. I also really enjoy going to the pool and doing my own version of water aerobics at times that work for me. The Y has been my "go to" place. It has enriched my life in so many ways.
The group classes for P90X and PiYo are awesome, and Carrie is, too. I learn new things from her every time, and she is so good at correcting moves as well as giving alternate moves for anything that as you.
The front desk team is always friendly and helpful too!
swim league has been a good fit for our family .. 3 days a week for the last year, we've been learning about competition in a no stress atmosphere.

The staff, instructors and Child Watch are the best they could be. Jackie, Carol, Patrick, Vinita, Joanne and the rest of the crew are unbelievable. I don't know how you manage to find such a great mix of people. I love the wide variety of classes and community atmosphere. I can't imagine my life without the North Austin Y!
The lap pool is great, the machines upstairs are good once you learn to use them, the extra programs are very effective
The only thing I dob't like is the shower and how nasty standing in that water is as it does nopt drain. Glad you are finally washing the curtains too
