I would definitely recommend CPY UWS. Being a teacher there I know that I strive to keep my teaching standards with that of CPY.
I would like to comment on the condition of the studio however. We need new lockers and carpet and the showers and bathrooms need updating. We are a very busy studio and there is a lot of wear and tear that goes with that. I would hate to see our attendance decrease because of the condition of the studio. Students are noticing.
Please continue to care about CPY UWS. It's a community!

I love CorePower Yoga and all the instructors.
The one thing you could improve, since there is no way for people to reach the studio by phone, is by having a number to text or some other quick way to reach you.
The other day there was no hot water, which was problematic because I needed to shower (and I have raynaud’s, so if I take a cold shower I would be shivering for the next few hours). I had to then go from hot yoga to a client looking and probably smelling less than ideal.
So I would love for there to be a way for me to find out if there is hot water before I book a class there again.
Also once I left something there by mistake, and it was tricky to figure out when someone would be there for me to get it (because I could not stop by exactly at the start or end of any of the classes on the schedule).
I realize that the instructors need to focus on teaching, but I often see people sitting behind the desk. While they are also busy, they could probably just respond to a quick message with one word or one sentence.

Great community; warm, welcoming staff; great mix of classes from different teachers/instructors; convenient location

I absolutely love the practice and the sculpt aspect - as a workout and as a mind/body fitness practice. However some of the “peak” time classes feel way too over filled , in the evening hours after 5 .. (uws/ Broadway location). I went to a 730 class and it was almost not even doable. Love the daytime though.

I love the heated rooms, the combination of weights, yoga and Pilates style exercises in Yogasculpt. I also like that with one membership I am able to take classes all over NYC. I am really enjoying my workouts! Although they are really tough : )
