My daughter loves going to Sylvan .she is always excited to be there. The difference between Sylvan and Kumon that I heard and saw was the homework paper for kids to take home and parents have to involve which is ok but it’s too much when u have a big family and too busy with younger kids around. I am sure Kumon is great cuz one of my friend girl who was 4 ans she started going there ans now she is in kindergarten she has no problem solving but the homework is something time consuming…. Overall I like the Sylvan environment and the teachers are great .
Still very new to the Sylvan community yet so far I see the positive changes in my nephews confidence and demeanor. I find the conferences to be very informative and essential in their success as well as the available resources online. I am very optimistic and look forward to retaining sylvan after our educational goals have been met.

My kids really like Sylvan El Cerrito. The teachers make them feel real comfortable with learning. They are so excited after each session of what they learned that day. I love how they updated on progress of how your child is doing and what your child is working on after a the 3 weeks. At anytime you want to know how your child is doing you can request for a progress report.
My six year old great grandson was really struggling with his reading and writing. I feel Sylvan is helping him to try a little harder and I have noticed a big improvement with his handwriting, his counting skills and story telling in his online School. He is more confident and more willing to try. Thank you Sylvan for your help. So appreciated.
Our experience with Sylvan of Piedmont has been great thus far. Kayla is making great progress in some areas and Anthony, the director, is very hands on and helpful. He really takes the time to explain things to both the parents and children directly. We really appreciate it. He has a ton of experience and is very professional and actually cares. I highly recommend Sylvan for reading assistance for your child. It's a slow but steady process and progression.
We had a great experience here. We only ended up leaving because of scheduling issues. But, my daughter was able to get most of her work done and she really liked working with the teachers there. They had excellent safety and social distancing protocols; there are plexiglass dividers between the tables, everyone is masked at all times, and everyone has their temperature taken upon arrival. We felt very safe and if the scheduling was more compatible with ours, we would go back no question.
Attentive to my daughters needs were she lacks and see improvements in learning within weeks. Awesome friendly staff that help fits our schedule.
