Sylvan is working with my son to relearn academic skills that have been lost since high school. He has been out of high school for 5 years and is planning to attend our local community college this fall but is in need of academic review in vocabulary, spelling and writing. They have also been working with my son on testing skills to take the drivers permit test and he just passed the test this week! The staff at Sylvan are a pleasure to work with and my son is enjoying working with Josh his instructor. My son was a little nervous at first because he thought the place was just for school age children but they actually work quite well with adults. The process has been easy and my son feels like it is helping him to prepare for college classes and we look forward to Sylvan being part of a good support system for him as he continues along his academic journey. I would highly recommend Sylvan to parents who are looking for a reputable learning tool for their children.

My 9 year old daughter was falling a little behind before the Pandemic closed our schools. Remote learning also led to being further behind. She makes good grades but the EOG testing was below average. Our other focus is to instill confidence when heading into 4th grade.
We are about 6 weeks into her tutoring. She is always excited to go and comes out grinning. We just had our first review and learned that she is thriving. As parents, we could not have been as effective, engaging, or encouraging as the team at Sylvan Learning have been.

Garner is dedicated to making sure that my child's program is tailored to his needs. His program isn't conventional and she spent the time with me to go over his educational history to ensure the program he is on is effective and appropriate for his end goals. This isn't the first time my middle child has gone to this particular Sylvan. With the specific learning challenges my son has, reading turned out to be very difficult and posed a potential stumbling block for him. He attended this Sylvan in 2014 and his reading skills are at 10th grade level. He is a rising 10th grader.
My oldest child, 27 years old, has separated from the Air Force after 6 years of service. He is entering his third year of college at TCU pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is spending his summer in an internship for a project connected to NASA. This son was reading at a pre-K level towards the end of his 2nd grade year. He needed 10 weeks of intensive Sylvan tutoring. At week 8, he was finished with the projected program and started a different one. His teacher, at the time, heard a child reading at an advanced level but did not recognize the voice. She turned around and was astonished to see my son reading at the advanced level!! Same child was retested at 11th grade and his reading comprehension and Language Arts skills were pre-collegiate!!! This Sylvan was in Michigan. The Sylvan protocol and program WORKS!!
Every associate at Sylvan learning is very up front and comforting about not only your experience with them but for the most important customer which is the child! My child hated anything that had anything to do with numbers reading basically anything to do with learning and would fight against me more than doing any type of physical work!!! But after he was signed into Sylvan learning he was excited to go and what I told him was learn!!! He wanted to go and often reminds me he needs to go!! His confidence changed in school and an home and his behaviors at home has made a huge turn!! I am very pleased with Sylvan Learning and think everyone involved!!
