I love the fact that camp at the ymca isn't your typical day summer camp where the kids just play all day and have the occasional activity and occasional field trip (which usually costs extra).Where as at the ymca the kids get to go swimming in the morning, they have fun themes for the week that is packed with fun activities and time for the kids to play, and they go on a field trip at least once a week at no extra cost! The other thing that I love about the Y is that they take careful consideration into your child safety so when you go to pick up your child and drop them off not only do you have to sign them in and sign them out but they are in a different part of the Y from where you pick them up so strangers or people that you do not want to know that your child goes to that camp can't just walk by and know that they go there also enjoy the fact that they ask for ID when you pick your child up because and other camps you can have a registered list but they don't usually ask Friday so anyone can say they are anyone.

The program is great! The only way I can think to make it better - I would have loved a chance to meet the counselors. Maybe like a pre-camp open house? Maybe its just me, but I really like the chance to meet, talk to, and get to know the people who are helping me take care of my child. This is something that's important to me.

Indoor playground for kids. Indoor pool. Family bath and locker rooms. The reading area/library. The outdoor pool.
Great value. The equipment always works. The facility is clean. The employees are friendly. The outdoor pool is really great for my young children.
Group ex classes (Zumba) are awesome due to people and staff ; love my personal trainer Kelly Wheltam and like the Environment!!

The availability and range of classes. The instructors are knowledgeable and welcoming. Y members are polite, friendly, and not intimidating. Facility is clean.

My kids have absolutely loved camp so far this summer. They get in the car when I pick them up and can’t wait to tell me about their day - what they did; the friends they made; and their counselors. I don’t recall ever having a summer where my children have been so excited and appreciative of their counselors. It’s truly a blessing!
