I like the variety of classes available, the well-trained staff and the fun and friendship of classmates. It makes it easy to stick with a fitness plan regardless of age or ability (or disability) as the case may be.
The pools and variety of classes.
Great classes at convenient times. I like the cycle classes as they are classic and not the new dance/extreme rides. Equipment is good and room is nice and quiet. You could have a better personal training area.
Dierdra’s soon classes
Lap pool
The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the WC YMCA during the enhancement week at UMLY. The childwatch area was super fun for them and I enjoyed using the treadmills and lounge area for some “me-time”... thank you!
I like the variety in the classes offered and how there is something for everyone in my family.
There was a plethora of machines and classes. The women’s bathrooms were very clean and nice. The facility was large, newly renovated and fully equipped.
It's a great facility- best Y I've ever been to. Very large with great facilities.
I would politely suggest not to build up the membership too much more, it would be unpleasant if significantly more crowded...
Good facility and great classes
My first time to the WCY was great! UMLY is closed so I was transplanted to WC and had a great experience. Child watch was great, personnel were friendly and everything was very clean.
Great Staff. Wonderful wellness center. Love the indoor pool
You can come to the Y anytime day or night. Staff is friendly and the people that go to the Y are one of my best friends.
Tired of getting survey. I love the place and I don’t want to be published.
The different equipments and great child watch!
great classes and facility.
Sense of community
Parent's night out. It would be great to be able to use it twice a month, as long as other people have a chance to sign up if they missed the first one of the month.
Lots of class options and times. Childcare is a savior!
The variety of programs offered for the family both adult and children (no one feels left out).
The friendly staff and the clean facilities. Thank you for all you do!

I like that I can use other facilities if there is a class that isn't offered in W.C. There are quite a number of good senior programs with fit lite, yoga and pool exercises.
Love the variety of offerings and the willingness of employees & programs to help introduce new people to those programs.
Child watch! And I just joined the new Crossfit.
The West Chester YMCA has more group ex classes than any YMCA in the country! Who else has classes on Sunday morning as well as in the afternoon? If you like Les Mills, BodyPump is offered at least 3 times a day! Most other YMCAs offer it 3 times a week! Instructors are amazing and the variety of other classes is also extremely impressive. There's no other place like it!!!
There are many different ways to work out, including individually and in groups. And the Y has great outreach programs.
Good value, welcoming environment.
I enjoy the classes that I take. The instructors are great. Sometimes the gym floor is dirty and it get noisy when the kids come inside and use the gym while we are having classes. Sometimes when I walk the track I feel that some of the people don't follow the rules. They are in lanes that they shouldn't be in, talking loud, on the phone and not paying attention to other people. I try to ignore this but sometimes it frustrating. I like the machines upstairs.

Last week I visited the West Chester (Airport Road) Y for the first time, as the Lionville location, where I routinely exercise, was closed for the week. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the WC Y with a measure of hospitality that was “above and beyond the call of duty” by Mrs. Pinky McGreevy. After introducing herself, She guided me through a quick tour and chatted with me for a few minutes, ensuring that I was comfortable and knew what I needed to know.
So back to the question, “What do you like about your membership?” In this instance, I especially like the fact that I had a place to exercise during the closure period for Lionville Y, a place that showed me passionate hospitality and made me feel welcome. I made a new friend, the fact that I had a great workout was simply the icing on the cake.
