Love the aquatic fitness activities. The combination of the exercise and the therapy pool has improved my jpint flexibility and greatly reduced my arthritis pain. Please add classes to REna's schedule, her classes are getting quite crowded!
I really like that everyone of all ages, ethnicities and social status are members.
I have been at UMLY for a year now and I love it so much. Thank you for adding childcare on Sundays! We are taking advantage of so much - tennis, classes, childcare, events and activities for the kids. Thank you :)
Upper Main Line YMCA has a friendly helpful staff and is very well maintained fitness facility. Great pools, resistance exercise equipment, and outdoor tennis and pickle ball courts. This all resides on a very beautiful campus.

Lots of classes for seniors!
Everything about UMLY seems great in its low-key way. The staff is cheerful. The gym is great. & the swim pools are clean and inviting.
The parents & children are without exception friendly and courteous. UMLY and the West Chester Y are a pair of the two best such workout facilities I have attended in my nearly 83 years. And I have been around quite a lot in the US and abroad.
Great pool. Wonderful Lifeguard staff. Coffee in the morning!
Pickelball is why many of us joined and remain at the Y. The decision to curtail night play just as the days get hotter is beyond unfortunate and will have many folks leaving.
Your instructors are so personable. They make us feel like family while making exercise fun!
The availability of the warmer pool for seniors to do laps.
There’s something for everyone; a great choice of activities, times and courses. Clean and friendly atmosphere. First name removed C.
Great community and activities, wish scheduling activities online could be easier but enjoy the activities we can get into!
Excellent instructors. Friendly atmosphere in all my classes. Instructors know the class members names. The classes are fun as well as a workout.
Variety, and adjustments can be made for experience and ability level
Group exercise great people

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the West Chester swim crew who have patiently led my daughter, Faith Last name removed to the current level (Stroke 2). One year ago, she used to be the one who was afraid to put her nose under the water, but then over the last summer, she overcame that fear, and I was able to sign her up in Youth Swim Basics at Main Line YMCA.
But then after a couple of months, because of the schedule conflict, we had to come to West Chester site just hoping that she could continue the Basic class, but when Leslie saw Faith outpacing other kids, she instantly recommended her to move up to Intro to Stroke Academy. There were many hoops she had to go through to get the right spot, but she took care of all of the troubles. Ever since then, Faith has really been enjoying the swim classes and flourishing under great teachings/guidance by Ashley and Sean. Faith loves both coaches. :)
Lastly, recently Faith had another struggle as she moved into Stroke 2 and the practice got much more intense, and she wanted to drop off. When I shared this with Leslie, she and her team including Ashley were seen encouraging Faith during the lesson. At the end of the session, Faith came back to me saying "I think I'd like to continue the class" with a big smile.
I really want to thank the whole crew for their passion/love for the kids. Also, the systematic approach the crew is taking is helping kids to step up and go through their challenges. Without their help, Faith wouldn't be swimming like she is now. So, thank you again!
Regards,
Sang
