Great facility, clean, good for teens.
I like the prerecorded workout videos.
I work full-time so it’s hard for me to make it to a live class. I like the flexibility of the pre-recorded videos.
Everyone is professional, offers answers to questions, is knowledgable. Things seem to go seemlessly and people give off a vibe-to me-of liking to work there.
Nice Lap pool
I have been going to the Kennett YMCA since 2003 when my children were born. They learned to swim there, socialize, play basketball, tennis, kickball, t-ball. They even did a bit of cooking and arts and crafts. I take many classes a week there. The instructors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to coming in every morning. In addition to helping me keep my fitness up, I have made many friends through the Y. During Covid lockdown, when the Y was allowed, they offered up classes outdoors which were pretty full. As we eventually were able to move indoors, the Y wee flexible and accommodating so that members could attend classes and feel safe.
As far as I can see, there are no drawbacks to becoming a member at the Kennett Square YMCA
Nice people. Especially at front desk.
Basketball court needs to be cleaned at least once a week. It is too slippery.
Also, the nets on the main court need to be inspected regularly & replaced when apparent.
There should be extra nets available anytime for immediate replacement when necessary.
Please address these.
Thanks!
Everyone is so friendly and supportive. I use the aquatic arthritis class and it has been wonderful not only for the relief from arthritis pain but for the social aspect.
My only negative comment concerning the Y is the elimination of the summer community pool. As a senior I would get a membership every summer for the pool. It was reasonable and easy to get to. It provided relief in the summer. I am unhappy that it will not be available to the senior public this year. I do not feel it is practical to travel to other YMCA’s.
Since moving to Kennett, I have used the exercise and weight areas. The folks at the front desk are terrific and the facility has ample equipment to use.
Friendliness, cleanliness. Fun, well organized and supervised with trained teachers.
Modern equipment. Friendly staff. Convenient location
Everyone is friendly and helpful.
We play Pickleball at your facility. It’s very organized and with a great group of competitors. It fun, friendly, and competitive. We look forward to it every week.
Pool, pickleball, weight facilities excellent.
Great programs for kids, families and seniors.
Promotes positive values of respect and responsibility.
I like the quality and quantity of the equipment so availability is good
I focus on the fitness area's. In the free weight area I suggest adding some assist equipment for lifting heavier weights for squats.
I loved the balance class taught by Steve Sciscione as well as Pickleball.
Love the Y .. great classes and friendly folks esp. at the front desk!!!
I like the group fitness and yoga classes.
It would be nice if the morning yoga and fitness classes didn’t overlap so that I could go to both. ( 9:00-10:00 time frame)
Easy to access and schedule
Everybody goes to the Y. I like seeing our whole community getting healthy!
Diversity
The best feature of the Y are the members. It is a friendly, inclusive venue. Exercising with others who offer a smile or kind words lends to a positive experience each day.
Activities and programs to satisfy all age groups
Love the Pickleball Sessions and Yoga classes with Lorraine.
Staff is polite
Class offerings
Clean faciiity
Need more cycling classes with instructors like Mike P. (wed 8:00a.m.) and Nikki (mon. at 6:00 a.m.) Why not a Thursday early class at 7:00 a.m. Perhaps Mike would do a early morning Thursday class. I'm not interested in most of the cycle classes like cycle beat and the instructors who want to talk all class.. These classes are not designed for all levels or age. I've been cycling at the Y since about 2005. We've had a long run of good instructors and post covid the quality of the cycle classes has sunk. Mike and Nikki are the exceptions.
The Y has all the necessary equipment to get in a great cardio or weight training workout. That’s what I need and it’s all available at the Y.
Variety of programs for all ages
Friendly and helpful staff and instructors
First off, this is Bob; not Beth. She doesn't fill out surveys.
Kennett's exercise facilities are terrific, all 3 rooms of equipment. I also like the indoor track.
I enjoy the exercise program that I have established for myself, and also my swimming.
