My daughter really enjoys her time at Mathnasium! She is excited to go each week and even asked if we could go more often. I have seen a lot of progress in her math skills after just a few months, and the best part is that she is having fun while learning.
Mathansium has been great for our son. It challenges him and he is learning things he has not yet learnt in school. The instructors are great and help guide in the right direction. He enjoys attending class once a week and learning new concepts, and we like that it is not very intense.
But he's also made progress and is much better at math, improving every day.
It's a good place for children to learn and not get bored
Excellent, encouraging teachers and a calm, comfortable learning environment. Small groups, two or three students with one teacher, inspire students to ask questions and become successful solving math challenges.
We have tried a couple different math programs in the past 2.5 years and it was always a struggle without what I felt like not a lot of progress (and there were tears). My 11 year old daughter likes going to Mathnasium; I think she even enjoys going. I think the 1-hour lesson (instead of 1.5-2 hours), fun prizes and customized lesson plan make it an enjoyable experience for her.
My daughter has been studying at Mathasium for over a year. The staff and instructors are fantastic and keep her engaged in all sessions. She has developed a great deal of confidence in math, and her recent school report shows excellent grades. We also sometimes let her bring some challenging problems where she gets frustrated and is unable to finish at home to the center. She can happily finish the problems there with the right support. We are pleased with our experience there.

My daughter welcomes the change in atmosphere and doesn’t seem as stressed around math although it’s only the beginning of a longer path. My son likes the sessions and some of the tutors stand out.
Our kids love going to math every week. In fact, it is one of their favorite things they do! Mathnasium teachers make learning math extra fun and break down challenging concepts.
A Wonderful Learning Environment
We've had a fantastic experience with Mathnasium in Newton Centre. It's been a great learning environment for our son. The tutors are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and patient—they really understand how to work with students in this age group.
Our son genuinely looks forward to his sessions, especially earning cards and rewards for his efforts. He’s even motivated to practice on IXL at home just to earn more cards—something we never expected!
A special shoutout to Mariah and Rose, who have been amazing at pairing him with tutors that match his personality and learning style. Their thoughtful approach and consistency week after week have made a big difference in his confidence and enjoyment of math.

The director of Mathnasium, Melissa Loupeda, and her staff rise above to meet my son’s needs. He has autism-based language difficulties, which can sometimes mask his “typical” cognitive skills.
They see past that in a way his school programs have not in order to teach him at his level. For example, they use on-the-spot visual supports for orders of operation and long division. He has flourished, working comfortably several grade levels above where he is registered at school.
He absolutely loves Mathnasium and wants to go for extra sessions!!
Flexibility in scheduling and working the schedule is very helpful. Vivian’s confidence has grown in her math ability but also in her willingness to try problems.
My daughter is loving math and is more confident since starting at Mathnasium with once a week tutoring. This is just what she needed! She said it’s very helpful and likes learning different ways to solve problems.

My daughter is having a good experience at Mathnasium. She likes getting extra math practice outside of school, it refreshes her memory and she gets to work out uncertain parts in her own pace. We like how flexible it is to schedule a lesson time in her very busy schedule.
My daughter enters and exits Mathnasium happy. She has liked all of the tutors she has worked with, really enjoys the small groups, and looks forward to earning and receiving rewards. We signed her up to prepare her for the upcoming school year over the summer and now she wants to continue during the school year.
Your staff are so welcoming and helpful. Helpful for my kids, of course, who are learning and loving math like never before. They're also so helpful for me!
Trying to balance one household with two jobs, two kids, tons of activities, and more is pretty complicated, and I've messed up a few times on appointment times, etc. The staff have been gracious and accommodated when they can. Most of all, they've made it so easy for me to set up and change lessons when needed. Of course the most important thing is how much my kids are enjoying math, from mastering the fundamentals to beginning to play with more complex concepts!

My daughter has caught up on a year of math in just 4 months. More than that, she enjoys math again and can see that she is good at it! She likes going to Mathnasium and wants to continue!! Kudos to you all for an excellent program and great instructors.
My daughter has loved the tutoring the last year. She has greatly improved her math skills. She of the instructors she doesn’t vibe with much as she needs some more enthusiasm and it’s hard when you can’t pick certain people to work with. My only complaint is the scent/air freshener in the space. It’s super overwhelming and the little time I’ve spent in there, gives me a headache. My only consideration about moving forward would be to decrease the scent, eliminate it or get something that isn’t toxic. Thanks!

The team at Mathnasium was very responsive to our requests - we wanted a very specific topics covered in a very short period of time and the team worked with us to find a tutor and develop a curriculum. The team was also very responsive and accommodating in terms of scheduling - everyone was a pleasure to work with. I wish we had discovered Mathnasium earlier!
