Mathnasium has been a great add-on to my son's school work. After the pandemic, I noticed my son's grades in math started to show he needed help, and he didn't want my help. He was used to math coming so easy to him and would get angry when he didn't get the right answers. Eventually, a good friend told us about Mathnasium, and how much it helped her son gain back his confidence in math. So I tried it out, and my son's grades in math increased, including his confidence. As a mom, I am so pleased and thankful for my son's experience, and I highly recommend this program.
My son is really benefitting from Mathnasium. His math teacher says she sees he's understanding better in class. I wouldn't say he LOVES going twice a week, but he doesn't complain [which tells me he probably does like it haha]. This is largely because he was in Russian Math before which was pure torture for him.
We appreciate the work your team put into working with our son. We love the option for online 1:1 sessions, and we find the in-person small classes great for a more formalized structure with others. The flexibility to switch between class options are extremely valuable for busy families like us!
One thing we would like to see is for your team check in with him on his current math courses from school. We want him to get as much support needed to excel in what he is learning in school and see if we can have him get into honors class when he enters high school next fall.
We’ve had a great experience! Our girls never fuss about going, they have fun there, and are learning a lot. They’re getting more math practice than what school alone provides.
