My son Arnesh is in 2,bd grade but he gets the opportunity to do even 3rd grade math here.Unlike other institutions there is less repetitive worksheets in Mathnasium.
Once you are done with their assessments they will automatically upgrade your child to the next level ..Very engaging tutors and last but not the least very helpful centre director Kira!!!!!
My daughter really enjoys her sessions and is learning so much!
Organized, well thought out plans for our kids- and they find it very fun
My kid loves to go. The staff and teachers are very kind.
His confidence doing math at school has increased tremendously.
Love the personalized tutoring style
We love the flexibility of being able to do in-person or remote lessons. Having math instruction that is specifically catered to each child's pace and knowledge level has been very helpful for our child.
Great team! Helpful and patient. My child is more confident in math. Thank you.
My children love how fun it feels during their classes and are very motivated to work hard by the rewards they earn!
Well, we haven't been there very long, so the jury is still out but so far so good. And Mike has been tremendously supportive and helpful. Our son, who is 8, seems to not mind going - he doesn't complain about it anyway - that's a good sign. I am very hopeful that, with Mathnasium's help, he will continue to improve in math and it will no longer be a sticking point for him. Thank you. First name removed
Staff are very nice and warm.
Good teachers.
The experience some kids will definitely benefit.
Friendly and always willing to help reschedule appointments/sessions.
Our 5th grader has gained a lot of confidence in math!
My son likes the online format where he has one on one tutoring. He can go at the pace he’s comfortable with and it’s very convenient for scheduling.
My son is a 9th-grader who got behind on some important math concepts over COVID. Getting help to fill in the gaps is something he requested himself, as he wanted to understand what the gaps are, and also be able to attend Physics H.
He finds the time set aside for Mathnasium sessions to be low-stress and he likes knowing what to expect when he goes there. He finds the people he interacts with to be kind and helpful. It helps him to increase his confidence. He has realized that some errors are due to lack of mastery and some errors caused by "mathos". He's determined to continue, even though it's not easy for him, because he believes it's helping.
As a parent, I'm proud of him for the self-awareness and for being willing to put in the extra work. I also appreciate that time slots are flexible. I appreciate the Google doc session notes.
My only suggestion for improvement is that it would help if it was more clear that Mathnasium is appropriate for older teens like him, not just young children. When he first started, he was feeling a little bit embarrassed at being there. He's since brushed aside that concern because the content he's learning is personalized to him, but I thought you'd want to know.
My son has been doing it almost a month now.
The owner at the Walpole centre "Sam" is an amazing person and always ready to help you with any problem that you have ..All the tutors are good but the best amongst them is Myrtha.
The way math is taught here is excellent...no memorization but just logical approach.
Excellent so far !!!!!
Thank you
My son enjoys Mathnasium and feels he is benefiting. Instructors are engaging and appear passionate about subject they are teaching.
My child enjoys going to Mathnasium and is learning a lot! They are great at calmly explaining math to the kids and not stressing them out.
My kids love Mathnasium and the staff are always very helpful.
I see an improvement in my children’s learning. They enjoy their lessons, which is very important. And I appreciate the staff doing their best in accommodating our schedules. It’s very helpful to us parents. We could really use the flexibility.
Our daughters have been going to Mathnasium for the past 3 years. Mathnasium has been key for our daughters to not only understand, but fall in love with math. Every time they come out of Mathnasium lessons they are laughing and smiling and sharing what they’ve learned. Their math grades turned to A’s and they are placed by teachers to Honors math classes where in the past they struggled to understand. Thanks, Mathnasium team!
My daughter loves going to Mathnasium and I think that being there has helped to really reinforce concepts she learns in school.
The 1-on-1 tutoring my middle school daughter received has been transformational. From “I HATE math” to “Guess what Mommy? I helped some of my friends at school with math today!” We are so grateful for the patient and individualized teaching you provide.
The staff and instructors and Needham Mathnasium are responsive, helpful, engaged and overall provide exceptional customer service. I have recommended Needham Mathnasium to all friends that have expressed interest in extra math.
My daughter is learning important skills and feeling mor confident.
Generally a great way to keep kids moving forward in their math learning. Been happy with the instructors in general and any issues that have arisen have been dealt with well. I would emphasize that keeping a calm environment in the center is important as some kids struggle to focus when voices are loud and distracting. This should be a focus for the new incoming ED - fun and light hearted environment is great but needs to be balanced with creating an atmosphere where all can learn.
I'm so impressed with the team at Mathnasium (Newton Center). The teachers truly want to foster a love of math and they know that pushing or pressuring students isn't the route. So they make the lessons & vibe low-pressure, achievable, and fun. And that's the space where kids grow--not just in math but in self-confidence!
My son has resisted extra math help for YEARS and YEARS but now that he is in Mathnasium he is enjoying it. No complaints going in and smiles coming out. Amazing!!!
It is great to be able to fill in math concept gaps and continue practice skills that need extra work! Doing this has made math less fearful for my child.
