Sommer at the Squirrel Hill location in Pittsburgh is great. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and very good with children, tween, and teens of all ages. Would highly recommend Mathnasium at this location.
The women running the center right now is doing an amazing job!! There is a calm ambience at the center to help kids focus and learn. Both of my kids love going there and they keep a nice balance of making math fun!!

It is the first place my daughter has actually sat still for! She loves math and loves coming here. Its great as a parent to see something your child really likes, clicks with, and wants to continue.
The additional instruction has allowed my son to find enjoyment - as well as excel - in math. It is now easily his favorite subject.
Mathnasium has really helped my child through late elementary and early middle school to stay further advanced of the curriculum being taught at school. The curriculum is also tailored very well to the child's abilities and there is really good communication regarding what level your child is currently at with Mathnasium. Incentives also work great for these kids with gift cards etc after collecting a certain number of points.

Initially, Dib struggled with basic multiplication and division, scoring 75% on assessments. Over the past 1 year, his understanding of these concepts has improved significantly. We have been noting so much progress with our daughters at the Squirrel Hill Mathnasium. Scheduling is really easy, and has been flexible with activities etc. Importantly, my daughters do not hate math anymore and have gained so much confidence. There's a noticeable recognition of facts and concepts vs. just trying to "study for the test". Gaining practice skills has been great too. We've been 2+ years on this journey and couldn't recommend it enough. Sommer and her team are great!
Mathnasium has helped our daughter improve her confidence and grade in high school math classes. We anticipate it will also make a big difference in her SAT scores as well. The instructors have a great way of connecting with her to help her understand the problems she is working.
