It seems that the program cares about the student and cares about their love of music. Other music programs care about how the student makes them look. SOR is about the desire to make the student look good.
Our daughter loves being in a band and everyone that works at the Geneva location is so helpful and nurturing. She’s also exposed to a history of music directly and indirectly that isn’t just us old folks telling her how cool it was when it happened!
I find that the School of Rock methodology works best for my son. The entire staff @Schaumburg SoR goes above & beyond imo. And the results show during the various performance events.
School of Rock Schaumburg has been a great place for my son to foster his love of music. His progress as a musician always amazes me and that's in large part due to his phenomenal instructors. The General Manager is always going above and beyond to help families and make sure they feel welcome and important. Overall, it's a positive environment for kids to learn and grow.

What don't I love about School of Rock Schaumburg really.... IT'S THE BEST program out there!!! The building itself is impressive and just seems to go on for miles while inside. Brandy and Alex are super supportive when it comes to rescheduling the private lessons here and there and immediately give me options. Their music teachers are absolutely amazing with my kid and constantly upping their game. Focusing on music kids are interested in learning and playing. Love the amount of practice through both private lessons and band lessons totalling 2 hours and 15 min. a week. They arrange a 2 day concert twice a season which gives us parents the JOY of watching all the hard work students and teachers put forth throughout half the year. They are always developing workshops to further develop these kids. School of Rock also has an adult band...so never to late to learn the beauty of making 🎶. SO THRILLED to be apart of this AWESOME program. Thank you SCHOOL OF ROCK SCHAUMBURG!!!
Amazing place with very talented students and professional teachers !
my son has been going there for 4 years now. has never wanted to take a session off. He started at the age of 7. He plays drums, bass and vocals. he says it’s all really fun and the environment is fun. he has done a few camps as well and loved them! It’s all hands on learning. I am truly grateful for the entire staff! They are so good with the kids. they are never pushed off or ignored.
Knowledgeable staff, friendly and welcoming environment, feels like a family … great environment for children!
Myles is learning a ton from Carl and really looks up to him. We have appreciated that Carl has followed what Myles is trying to do musically on Spotify and his encouragement.

Schaumburg School of Rock has the best staff and students! A little over a year ago, we came in with no experience and no idea what to expect. Now the staff and students at Schaumburg SoR are like our 2nd family and we love going to shows and watching all the kids' talent grow.
