Best music program around!
Fun, immersive, encouragement. All around great experience.
My son had a great time at camp! He really isn't the kind of kid that likes to go to camp, but he liked School of Rock so much that he wants to come back. I think he liked the smaller class sizes and that he got to have some fun, hands on experience while learning a bit about playing guitar.
Great mix of private lessons and group interaction, and showing them what stage time feels like is awesome. Instructors are very knowledgeable about the instruments as well.
Quality instructors, great teaching approach, excellent communication
My son had a great time and was exposed to a variety of instruments in his camp "crash course". He's figured out both instruments that he's definitely interested in as WELL as definitely not, which is a big deal too!
Rock 101 was a lot of fun for my son, and he got to try out new instruments he is interested in. The teachers were very nice and supportive.
We had a great week of summer Rock 101 camp this past week! My girls had an awesome experience and we plan to definitely look into future School of Rock programs!
My kid made a lot of progress in just a week with the Rock 101 program
Great
Our daughter has a great time despite never picking up an instrument in her life before
Our daughter loved the Rock 101 camp! Instructors were great and we are going to get her in performance class if her schedule allows.
No stress learning. Everything is done at the students pace. The best part are the concerts and there are people of all ages in the band.
The individual lessons and the shows are awesome! It made my son love music even more.
My son had a wonderful first experience at School of Rock Geneva. The 5 day camp was a lot of fun, a great intro. He loved the instructor, helpers, and especially the concert at the end of the week. Thank you!
SOR Geneva is such a great place for kids who love music. The administrative staff, the instructors, the other students are all incredible. Personally, we moved during the pandemic and were new to the area. Having SOR for my kid during these difficult times was so important and still is. I’m so grateful. However, if things were not shut down it still is an amazing place and I can’t tell you how many people say 1) the kids sound awesome, and 2) I wish this was around when I was young.
School of Rock Schaumburg has a PHENOMENON MUSIC PROGRAM 🎶 🎵 and I'm so happy I've enrolled my son. All the instructors he's had the pleasure to work with are extremely focused on teaching him his songs for their concerts as well as having fun with allowing them to be creative and play songs our kids have a interest in learning. Their front office starting with Brandy (the AMAZING general manager) and Alex and Becky (the studio coordinators) are always so helpful when I need to reschedule make up sessions. My son did so well in his first two concerts (they have 3 a year) that I signed him up for another instrument lesson each week so he's there one evening for Drums, one evening for Bass as well as his 2 hour and 15 minute band session. If he had his wish he'd be at to SoR everyday. I would recommend SoR highly for their children who want to learn a creative and outstanding way of teaching.... there's also an adult band too. I couldn't be happier! 🥁🎤🎸
The SOR/Schaumburg encourages everyone at all ages to learn and love music! The Music Director, Manager, and Instructors are so enthusiastic about your experience. I started to learning guitar at 61 and never thought I would play in a band!
The teachers are pros and have experience!
I'm part of the Geneva School of Rock Adult Band.
Bailey is fantastic. She does a wonderful job of managing the different personalities and skill levels in our group.
My drum instructor, Kyle, brings lots of great information to my one on one lessons. I appreciate how he works with me on expanding my skill set.
Appreciate how Joey manages questions and concerns that are brought up by myself and other students.
The one aspect of the Geneva School of Rock program that I would like to see addressed is the repeated issues faced with malfunctioning or missing drum equipment. Recently, during adult band rehearsal, it was discovered that a crash cymbal was missing. We borrowed one from a practice room. Unfortunately, it was of poor tone and had see better days( in may opinion).
Foot pedal on base drum in group practice room migrates.
Ants show up in the drum practice room bordering the walkway.
My son has so much fun with School of Rock. He is in the Little Wing program now, where he is learning about the joy of music. I don't know if he will want to start learning an instrument as he gets older or not (I hope he does), but either way he will grow up loving music, and music is one of the best parts of being a human being. My only complaint is that School of Rock wasn't around when I was a kid, because I would have loved it, too! I am so happy that my son has this opportunity. Thank you!
Best coaches and music director (Dave) EVER!!!
I love the enthusiasm and passion of the people who work at School of Rock in Geneva. They are so friendly and welcoming and very professional. I love my voice lessons because my teacher is knowledgeable, engaging, and has an amazing personality. She is really encouraging and she is extremely helpful as II progress through the learning process and develop confidence. One of the best things about the program though, is the opportunity to be in a band!! That is absolutely thrilling and an amazing learning experience to develop stage presence, confidence, and an understanding of how to perform with a group of people and participate in a band. It is also a blast. The music director is amazingly talented. And even as a beginner Who was super excited to be a part of the adult band, but a little nervous, I found everybody to be so kind, nonjudgment, and welcoming that makes the experience awesome. I have nothing but good things to say about School of Rock. And I especially thank Joey, Lex, and Bailey.!! I can’t think the three of them enough. I’ve already learned so much and I I’m having so much fun and plan to be hanging around there for a long time!
Positive, supportive staff and encouraging community to grow in musical skill.
I enjoy how laid back the program is and how patient Michael is with me. This is a huge step out of my comfort zone and I really appreciate him making it fun for me and reminding me that this is supposed to be fun, it takes time, and to stop stressing if things aren’t perfect right away.
We love SOR! They have taught my daughter so much and really built her confidence!
We so appreciate the entire team at SOR Schaumburg! All three of our kids are involved in performance & lessons, our oldest just made House Band, and my husband and I have done Adult Band as well.
Brandy, Dave and team have created such a wonderful environment as the General Manager and Music Director . My daughter literally said after her first trial lesson, "I'm home!"
As much as it is an inviting and nurturing environment it is a challenging one and I mean this in the best possible way. My kids know what is expected of them and they are held accountable to help make their performance group the best it can be!
We have all grown our talents with help of their amazing teachers! Among our family we utilize their teachers for Vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.
And Jason isn't just an owner, he is out living and breathing music everyday. In fact I think he is on tour right now with his band as I write this message! You can't compare the culture of School of Rock Schaumburg with anywhere else, it is the best!
You want the best? This is the best!
My daughter absolutely loves this program
We were not happy with Ms. Amanda. Thankfully she left. My kids just love Mr. Erik. He engages them, teaches them, and makes them feel like rockstars. We love how inclusive SoR is and how community driven they are. We love it!
Great organization. Instructors are top tier, I feel very comfortable sending my kids their. The instruction is second to none, I became a student myself.
