Customer Testimonials
I like that they fully support my child in whatever and whichever is his strongest strengths in playing an instrument
Everything! It’s great !
I like the performance-based format that gets the students on stage and actually playing their instruments from the get go. I love that the staff are so encouraging and keep the students engaged and interested by providing positive feedback and room to grow as musicians and performers. There are many opportunities to try different instruments, and I like that there is a sense of community where everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to let their skills and passions shine.
Personal approach. Individual feedback. Confidence building. Passionate instructors. Great communication. Amazing what they accomplish in a short amount of time. Performances always blow me away. My kid is happy and loves SoR!!
We love our private teachers, the vibe at the school, the talented staff, the professionalism of the whole operation, and the belief of the teachers in their students.
The only criticism I have of School of Rock is that they haven't built a time machine and gone back in time to start a location in rural Virginia circa 1982. Get on that, why don't you? My young self thanks you in advance.
School of Rock is really the best thing. Better than freshly baked buttered bread? Yes! Better than grandma's apple pie? Yes! Better than Sister Rosetta Tharpe's 1965 performance of "Didn't it Rain"? Well, close, but let's give Sis' her due.
What I like: crazy smart, committed, passionate, creative teachers, coaches, and directors; helpful and friendly support staff; welcoming environment; rock; roll.
What I don't like: did I mention that time machine?
The staff makes my son feel comfortable but also give him the right amount of push to get him out of his comfort zone.
The opportunity to learn while playing with other musicians.
Working with an instructor who will work with me on my personal goals in addition to the school curriculum.
Friendships made through experiences with other students.
The passion of all of the staff of music in general.
Also, I have personally encouraged at least 5 friends, who have also joined the SoR community, based on the enthusiasm and passion that I have for my personal experiences being a student musician.
Rock on and on! 🤘
There is so much that I like. I love how wonderful the teachers are, and so incredibly devoted to their students. They have supported and encouraged my son in so many ways. The programs have enthusiastically engaged my son for nearly 10 years; that is amazing.
I like that they incorporate social learning, the kids work with rheir instructors in lessons but also their peers with performance.
Music choices, staff.
The level of commitment to providing a great and accurate curriculum to the kids as well as a wonderful level of support and encouragement for them.
This has been a great experience for my son. And it’s brought me back to my childhood love for music, especially live.
Our daughter enjoys the program. It’s really good for the little ones to explore instruments they might like.
The method of learning, the exposure to live performance. Great staff and Instructors. We are so glad to have found your school!
I enjoy performing at different venues and especially loved the battle if the bands with other grad schools
Keep up the good work
Encouraging, the instructors meet the student where they are at. They use modern music to inspire the kids to continue playing.
The people! The teachers and the manager and everybody that works at School or Rock Cherry Hill. They really make the students feel like they belong! Such a great feeling.
My kids love their lessons, the space itself is welcoming to kids who don't necessarily fit in with the "normal" kids at school, and the option of playing in a band is fab! I put a 9 because the cost of lessons and the band could be prohibitive to a lot of kids who would like to join. I know that's a tricky point as, of course, it all takes funding to run.
Thank you so much for all of your programs and efforts to support kids and help them shine.
We can’t say enough good things about School of Rock Vienna. Our daughter has attended for several years now and not only is learning how to play and perform, she has found a fun and supportive community - of students who share her interest in learning and performing music, and instructors and administrators who are extremely engaged, and very clearly care about their programs and the kids they are working with. There are lots of different opportunities to get involved: lessons, performance groups (with all different musical genres to choose from, and actual gigs at local venues), house band (including a “jv” level to allow more students to participate), and summer camps and internships. We highly recommend School of Rock Vienna for any kid interested in learning and playing music!
competent instructors, helpful staff,
The instructors are very knowledgeable and engaged with the student's needs. My child feels like the instructor is working with him and not just telling him what to do. They work together to develop an instructional plan. And their communication with the parents is great! SoR programs have helped my child reach his goals and become very confident in his musical abilities.
Kids are engaged and interested in music, learning curve is short.
School of Rock is very inclusive. My child has thrived in this program for the past six years. This is the one place he feels that he can be himself. He's learned to work through challenges, try new things and work with others...all through a wonderful support system. I would recommend School of Rock for any kid.
The Performance Program has given my child confidence to play many instruments, not just the one they are taking lessons on. The format as a group goal has enabled a ramp up of my child's musical ability overall in a very short period of time. It's fun and engaging.
The teachers are great. Letting the kids be in the same group with their friends.
Everything!
The staff are supportive, friendly, and dedicated to their students learning and development.
Love the community and the confidence that it has taught my daughter.
School of Rock Austin is fantastic! Great program, great instructors and the kids put on such entertaining shows! My daughter has become a really good keys player and is learning guitar and doing back up vocals. I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend!
