It’s great to have a combination of band and individual experience. The opportunity to make up missed private lessons is excellent as kids are often busy with other commitments.
My kids have so much fun while being able to learn about music and how to play different instruments. I appreciate the amount of time and dedication the instructors give to each student. They really know how to work with children that may need a little more attention than most. They are patient and able to refocus the kids back to their specific activities. I would recommend 10/10.

We love that our son has the opportunity to work 1:1 with an instructor and also in a group setting during show rehearsals. The 1:1 helps him to work on his own personal technique but his group lessons teach him to work with others, and follow cues from band mates. He always enjoys working with the other show members. The goal of having a performance is also exciting and motivating!
My son loves working with his instructors Tyler, Matt and Alex. Weekly feedback is given during each 1:1 lesson and emailed so that it can be referred to while practicing at home. This is very much appreciated and has been very helpful!

Give students ability to learn, learn how to be coached, opportunity for every child to perform, experience how their individual contribution matters to their fellow musicians. Safe space to be themselves and thrive.
But…..for cast parties, please provide pizza/food and drinks to celebrate. I delivered my musician to their noon cast party last week scheduled from 12noon-2pm. She went hungry because there was no food, only tap water. There is always food. Seriously, with the money and time of the kiddos and parents getting their kids to SOR, it is a nice treat for the kids. We have been a SOR for 10 years. Promise, it doesn’t take a lot to coordinate that detail.
SOR John's Creek continuously exceeds expectations with their curriculum and staff. An amazing group of teachers who truly care about music education and continuing the legacy of future musicians.

I love how SOR puts the kids in a band and teach them how to work as a team from the beginning. I also, love the approach in general to how they teach the kids. They make it fun for them.
Love the staff. Jordy is super on top of everything and really makes everyone feel more like family than clients. The instructors are all great and make learning fun for the kids.

The staff at SOR Bellevue are supportive and encouraging for beginning adults and taking the risk to explore your possibilities as a musician, tolerant of mistakes, and complimentary of your success. It is a well-run program. Songs are selected for students based on their abilities with an eye for taking the next step in a student's development. Other adult participants are musicians of varying skill levels and the mix of talents provides for good role models and a push to perform at your best. Students work together to make a song work. I have enjoyed the program and have grown as a musician, a name I am now more comfortable calling myself.
My daughter is so happy at school of rock. She's learning, making friends, and having a great time.
I’ve recommended SoR to quite a few people, some of which have since started at School of Rock and love it! I love SoR for my drumming daughter because her instructors are amazing at knowing what she needs to keep propelling her forward. And it’s so phenomenal students get to experience performing at real venues around Chicago! Everyone at SoR is kind, friendly & helpful.
