School of Rock teachers are a wonderful balance of encouraging and challenging. My daughter has been welcomed and included and feels a part of the school of rock family. She has also improved drastically since starting lessons. The teachers are the kids’ biggest fans. It’s a great place!

I am a senior leanrning drum and I am very happy with one particular teacher Bruno. Also I have to mention the always smiling office manager Rose - She's super friendly and accomodating. I did look at other local drum schools and this is the best school in the area.
My son has autism but loves music we were nervous about him getting into all of this plus joining a band but it has been one of the greatest things we have done they help me all the time and are so willing work with you about just about everything! Fabulous place to send your babies
It is easy to schedule and along with that my son has grown so much in confidence and his music abilities...Thank you for teaching in such a way that is cool yet applicable!
I was very hesitant to sign my son up for classes as a teen with no experience. He was too old for the 101 class. Luckily I’m a little stubborn so I asked if there was another way to get started and they happily let him join in an older group, even thought he wasn’t experienced.
I love how the school calibrated his parts so that Gavin could participate at his own level.
Gavin is also very introverted so I was worried about that. He declared that he would never perform.
Lo and behold, he loves his one on one lessons with Octavio! And he has performed 3 times already in his first 6 months. Two shows and one preview. No one in the family can believe it!
The progress that he has made on the keyboards to me is nothing short of amazing. He’s having a blast. He Practices on his own without needing to be pushed because he’s excited about the music he’s learning.
The teachers really inspire him. He looks up to them a lot. In return they are always kind but they also know how to push the kids to be their very best.
It’s been a transformational experience and I know will continue to be for many years.

The individual instructors are fabulous. We have had some concerns with the performance programs but have spoken with the new management team and feel that they are responding to them appropriately. The school is definitely moving in the right direction.
David is a fantastic teacher and the school is very well run.
Quite honestly, there is nothing we *don't* like about the program, SoR Frisco itself, or the people there. We started our youngest on drums with Marisa at SoR Frisco 2 years ago. After listening to him play and going to the shows, our oldest asked to take classes with Marisa too. She's great with them, and they both love playing with her. They seem to be learning so much so quickly! And Marisa adapts to their interests and needs/wants by getting them playing great songs they are motivated to learn. Sounds like she's just cool and approachable for them (and they are both shy). Love Maddie and Cole. Highest respect for Saxon and all the team. Love the selection of music from varied genres and time periods. Love the live performances.. you pick the best venues. Wish the live stream was on Youtube, but maybe some day. I know a techie guy who says you should be able to do that with a simple, low cost license. Idk, but might be worth looking into sometime. I'm going to say 'no' to public sharing of my review because if you did, I'd overthink this haha

We love the School of Rock!!! A place where it is fun to learn and the kids can be free and creative. Excellent staff and facilities. Very welcoming organization. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

My son has really been blossoming in his drumming abilities since starting his private lessons with Chris. He has also blossomed socially and confidence wise since starting Rock 101. We are really happy with his musical developments since starting with SOR-Ashburn.

You have taught my son more drumming mechanics in a few months then he gained on his own in 2 years. Plus it’s a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
Franky is going on his third band and continues to have vocal lessons at School of Rock! I can't begin to express how much he loves this school! The quality of the 1 on 1 lessons has been fantastic and we would absolutely recommend that to friends and family. The group band lessons are fun, but sometimes there are very few kids that show up for practice, or don't enroll in the band, so I'm not sure how much they are playing together. Also, it seems like the communication between the school and the teachers needs to be improved. We showed up for the Rock 101 performance in January, and the band teacher was just hearing about the performance for the first time and was very unprepared (it was still a fun and entertaining performance!). Also, we realized that the instructor for my son's 1 on 1 was not aware that he was also in Rock 101 until 2 weeks before the performance. This should have all been communicated better.
Sam at the front desk is an extremely delightful person. I like that the kids do both lessons and rehearsals.
