The Maywood School of Rock has amazing teachers who truly care about the musical growth of the children and adults. The environment is welcoming, and the owner has created a strong sense of community among the staff and students. My son has gained so much confidence in addition to learning how to be a musician and working in a band. There are also many performance opportunities if you choose to participate. Regardless of your age or ability level, even starting with zero experience, Maywood School of Rock is a fun and safe place to work toward your musical goals!!

We love how fun they make it for our young son to learn about music. The Little Rookies class is designed to teach them rhythm and just how fun music is. I love that they cater the playlists to the kids current interests. How excited was I when our 6 year old came home humming Zombie by The Cranberries?!? 😂
Lo mejor es la dedicación de cada profesor, el ambiente que se genera... buena onda en general. En SOR se respira rock en cada una de sus salas de ensayo, en los pasillos e incluso desde la entrada al recinto, además tienen muy buena infraestructura. Otro aspecto destacable es que aprendes música en general y específicamente te enseñan la canción que te tocará interpretar junto a tu banda, además adaptan los temas a tus capacidades a versiones más simples pero que aún así suenan muy bien. En mi caso, cumpliré un año en esta academia y ya he tenido dos presentaciones en vivo... nunca había tomado un bajo en mi vida y en la próxima tocata además cantaré uno de mis temas preferidos. Creo que la mejor manera de explicar qué es School of Rock, es decir "el lugar donde se cumplen tus sueños". Ya pasé los 50 y estoy rockeando con mi banda... ¡sueño cumplido!
Kids enjoy it and are engaged. Could use a bit more method and theory to keep up the technical skill levels but not a problem for kids under 12

The part that Wade gets to be part of the band! It gives him a goal each season, and he really enjoys performing on stage. I, as a parent, enjoy working with Simone on admin stuff. She’s always on top of things and solves anything that comes up - such as scheduling and billing. Thank you!
