Fun and uplifting
I think the Brick NJ SOR is doing a great job at helping young, older and new musicians experience the joy of music and the accomplishment of playing an instrument. The staff is always welcoming, my lessons are always well planned, the building is always spotless and the instruments used in my lesson are always in good working order. I'm always kept informed about any events and I really enjoy going to the performances and watching the kids perform and seeing the joy it brings. My instructor is always professional and encouraging and has really helped me to find the joy I've missed after not playing for over 40 years. I am a professional Hospice nurse and I have crazy schedule that SOR always accomodates. The days that I take lessons are always great and happy days for me and i look forward to each and every lesson.
My son started taking lessons a year ago. He loves his instructor, and he has been more motivated to learn. Staff members are very friendly as well.
I love how everyone wants to help you succeed as much as possible. It truly is a program that is very welcoming and makes you feel like you can do what you're there to do! I am only 5 weeks in and I feel as if I've had lessons for years!

We love our child’s guitar instructor, Joe Sprunt. He challenges our son based on the skill level he is capable of and encourages him to embrace all genres of music to become a well rounded musician. He is a mentor and our son soaks up everything Joe teaches.
We additionally love the performance group as a fun way to demonstrate growth in his skills as well as seeing him work together with his band mates.

I could not be happier with the introduction of School of Rock into our lives. In my opinion, Jeremy is among the greatest teachers I've ever met, of ANYTHING. His knowledge, passion and compassion make him a dream instructor for any parent.
The programs are engaging and informative, and the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable! You can tell everyone really cares about music and working with kids.
All props to my coach Andy. I've been singing in bands for well over 20 years without ever knowing what I was actually doing. Got thrown into it at 16 and had fun, so went with it. In a month and a half I've gone from "okay" to "okay, how am I doing this?!"
The program, the environment, the culture of the School of Rock is amazing. Andy, however, deserves heaps of praise and credit. He's connected with me on the level I needed to remove some two decades old mental block. I just told him last week that I finally found my voice. I've always been told I had a speaking voice for radio but my singing voice just did line up with that. Now? We're getting there!

The instructors are fantastic and do a great job, not only inspiring my son to practice but also to develop his own style and musicianship. I like how the program options change each semester and offer content that might not typically appeal to my teenager. I also enjoy seeing him grow as a performer in a stage setting, as opposed to just musically (which is almost always his primary motivation). I genuinely feel like he has found his people at SoR.
