We love SOR! All the instructors are super positive and supportive. Nicole is always accessible, friendly and informative. They have our children’s safety in mind at all times.
The Belmont location has exceptional staff and teachers that go above and beyond to ensure all children and teens feels seen and heard. While waiting for my son’s classes in the lobby, I hear conversations between staff and youth that might seem insignificant, but I know those interactions are shaping future generations of artists, musicians, and creatives and instilling hope for the possibilities of what they can create out of their future. I’m assuming much of the teachers and staff are younger/college-aged. Thank you for choosing to share your talents with future generations. I know working with kids can be challenging, but you young adults who are leading the way in balancing compassion, inclusivity, and advocacy for the arts.
Also, I greatly appreciate the crisis numbers now being easily accessible in the lobby should a youth or teen feel they need additional support. Please keep doing what you’re doing!

Great teachers and great programs
The Instructors are awesome. We love Mr. Bill Diehl! He is knowledgeable, fun, and truly cares about my child’s progress. He pushes my child to try drum fundamentals that are outside his comfort zone. The school is organized and well run. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love the performance program where my child is in an actual band—what a great way to experience playing with other musicians.
The only reason I don’t have my other kids in lessons is the higher price point. It’s worth it for one child, not realistic for two or more children in our case. Overall, we love School of Rock Johns Creek.

I wish parents could be more included. Sometimes I am not sure what he needs to practice and how I can help him.
So far, our kid is only taking lessons, but the atmosphere at School of Rock is very welcoming, and the teacher is friendly and kind.

The team at School of Rock Coppell are amazing. I have learned a lot with them and they are extraordinary musicians that share their knowledge and experience with the students.

Its my son's favorite activity of the week. He loves being part of a band and the community.
It has instilled confidence and a strong sense of teamwork and commitment in our daughter while also providing her with an opportunity to pursue her passion of singing. As 80s/90s kids, my husband and I love that she’s exposed to the music we grew up on!
Friendly, welcoming, musically challenging and so much fun
My daughter has been attending school of rock for about 5 years now. I am amazed to see her growth learning to play guitar and understanding how songs work.
She has had 3 different instructors since joining, and they've all been very professional in teaching kids and made her feel comfortable. I also appreciate that they help her learn songs she plays in the SOR band, but also flexible in helping her learn her favorite songs that she brings to lessons.
I love the various band programs. I think that is the real strength of SOR and the thing that sets it aside from others. It takes learning to the next level when kids are taught how to play songs with other kids in a band. It also gives her a sense of purpose and direction with her learning. The performances in local venues have bee a thrill to wintess as a parent!
The support staff at SOR have also been wonderful to work with, especially Simone. They are always very helpful if we need to change a lesson time or schedule a make up session. They are enthusiastic and supportive to my child. It feels like being part of a cool community at SOR Berkeley.

For the kids that attend this is very very special… It allows them an outlet that they would not get anywhere else!
