The performance program at School

The program offers teens a safe environment to find friends with similar interests and have fun together while forming a band. They learn new songs and have a chance to play multiple instruments and voice. I am amazed at the variety of talent in my daughter's band: virtually everyone plays multiple instuments. Even only after a few sessions, they already sound amazing and you'd guess they knew each other for ages. This experience helped them really come together and focus on their art, but in a fun and relaxed way.
The teachers are also extremely talented and fun. They each play a ton of instruments. Many of them play in real bands and/or taught music at the college level. They know when to step in and when to let the band struggle and figure things out on their own. They help the kids get out of their comfort zone and try something new, like voice. Individual lessons are also available and we also took advantage of these in the past. My daughter always got a lot out of the individual lessons and her teacher challenged her appropriately.
I am really impressed by the teachers from this particular location and this is the one School of Rock I would recommend to any one in the larger Columbus metro area.
It takes A LOT to wear my kid out but he cane home from camp every day exhausted in a good way. I know that it means his brain was thoroughly engaged. It’s also very satisfying for the kids to be able to perform something as a group by the end of the week. Thanks for a great intro to music.

This is the second summer that our daughter has taken part in summer camp and she absolutely loves the School of Rock experience!! In just one week the kids learn so much and the staff are wonderful! Our daughter will be back to camp again next summer! Thank you for providing such a fun learning environment!!

The best experience my budding guitarist has had yet! Best week of his summer by far. We are so grateful to the instructors and staff for their dedication, energy and genuine care for the kids. What an unbelievable experience for our kiddo. We can’t wait to start a program!!!

My son Graeme aka Blisters absolutely loved your program. He has been taking private lessons for 2 years after starting with Uke. This lit his fire again, especially using the electric guitar! We will be back. Thank you!
My son really enjoyed his week at camp. I was impressed with the number of songs they were able to learn and then perform at the end of the week at a restaurant! The counselors were very kind and even remembered him from last year. We will return for sure!

As Henry has been playing bass for over 8 years now, school of rock has been able not only to help build up his confidence on stage but also in the classroom. Whether it’s him learning new songs or walking that bass in his school too, Henry has been able to establish a new confidence I have not seen before! I’m so grateful for the amazing staff there such as Greg, his instructor and Rob. You guys truly rock!
