I have felt improvement since I joined the adult band program. I feel more confident now and I have learned a lot from my music teacher on how to improve my voice. It's also a nice way to have social interactions with people who have the same interest as me, which is music.

Malea is my voice teacher. She is excellent. Great fund of knowledge. Pushes me to improve but also very supportive. Adult band performance program also fantastic. Band leaders Mario and Matt are excellent musicians. Song assignments are fun but also challenge you to grow to the next level. Highly recommend.
Every kid I've seen play in the program has a passion for playing music with their favorite instrument(s) and they are engaged in participating. My son wanted to play with a band and this is the place where he has found that opportunity while playing the type of music he likes.
School of Rock is the most amazing community and program. They have taught my daughter so much and seeing her growth is incredible! Grateful for everyone on their staff! Donna and Chuck are the best!
The Metal Camp was great! Hopefully the new location will be closer to the Southtowns :).
the excellent staff, the attitude and atmosphere... the positivity and encouragement. it is the best place to go to learn how to play an instrument and to learn how to play with other people in a band and do a show.
Varied musical programming enabling the SoR students to exposure to varied genres.
SOR Virginia Beach ignited a love of music in my children. The methods used have helped them learn to play their instruments well. Management identifies great instructors who inspire the kids by being actively working musicians. Group classes give the students a chance to perform live gigs at real local venues and provide lots of rehearsal fun.
Personalized classes, skilled teachers
Great to have bands beyond individual lessons. Takes the kids much further. I do miss the posters from the shows. The kids really liked them it made them feel big time plus it is nice to keep them. Our son has them all on his wall.

Relaxed supportive environment and instructors
Jackson specifically has been amazing with our daughter Skylar. She loves to sing but is afraid to sing in front of other people. Jackson has made the most of their time together even though she isn’t ready to sing in front of him yet - he has been incredibly patient and taught her so many music and vocal fundamentals in a short period of time. She really looks forward to her lesson every week!
Our son Bryce is in rookies with Nick and literally runs full sprint into class every week. He loves trying out the different instruments (although drums are his favorite) and is also learning a ton. Nick has such great energy and is so patient, caring and fun!

We love that our son can learn through being in a band in addition to individual lessons. The opportunities to perform in a variety of professional music venues is always something he looks forward to. Performing at the Ryman Auditorium was a literal dream come true for him! The instructors are wonderful and it is a welcoming environment for all types of kids. It has been a great confidence boost. We are incredibly grateful our son has found such a good community and gets to do something he loves.
