This is hands down the best studio location in San Diego. Teachers set the standard for inclusive instruction (e.g., not assuming everyone works an office job, not assuming everyone is in class for the same reasons, 'thank you' instead of 'namaste'), safe albeit challenging form (Matt W, Lauren N, Clif, Heidi come to mind), and modeling for yogis (reminding us to make room for others when class is full, to not leave the room while folks are in balancing postures, to respect folks still in savasana). I'm always disappointed when I go to other studio locations because the North Park team has cultivated SUCH a strong culture of respect and sincerity when it comes to the practice. I love the variety of classes and I am particularly enjoying the move from some teachers to reduce music use in their classes. In some HY classes, the music cuts out completely because it's so hot in the room and I find myself wishing for totally silent yoga classes. Matt W recently started a class without music ("the beat will catch up with us") and I really appreciated it.

Really nice studio. Class was pretty small, which was really nice as well. The teacher's flow was good and challenging, just wish the room had been a little warmer.
